This auction is for a 1949 MGTC restoration project
The vehicle has just emerged from a 35 year spell in dry storage over in the US- On arrival. we ran through the cars ignition system and now have her running and driving. This was done only to ascertain whether or not the motor runs. obviously the car will require a thorough mechanical service etc.
The car is fiited with rare optional louvered bonnet. cabin heater system and rear bumper (See pics) The paintwork is poor but there is no significant rust. just dents and scratches accumulated whilst in storage.
The interior features a lovely original dash and Jaeger instrument cluster. The hood is torn and in bad shape. the car does come complete with its side screens which also require overhaul. Please note the screen is cracked. this may not be obvious from the photos.
We've had the car up on our inspection ramp. the chassis and outriggers are in excellent shape. This is a very strong example with only minimal rust to non-structural sections of the area beneath doors.
In summary. a fantastic opportunity to acquire a strong and original example of an increasingly sought after early MG. Numerous interesting options and lots of lovely original features.
