You are looking at a real 1968 Shelby GT500 that is factory Highland green with black deluxe interior. An original 428 police interceptor automatic car with air conditioning. The car is now a 4 speed with a 2x4 intake manifold giving it that extra boost of fuel for more power.

This is a beautiful car, and a very nice piece for anyone to add to their collection. The Shelby market has exploded and this car is very reasonably price for anyone wanting to get into a Shelby, so now is the chance to own one before they keep rising in price and become unobtainable for a fair value. This car is priced reasonably to sell.

This car is number 01726, and has a clean Shelby registry history. Car has original Shelby tag, door tag, dash tag, buck tag and fender apron stamps.

Now I will breakdown the car by area:

Engine:

428 PI Shortblock C6ME-A (not Original engine I don't think)

428 Cobra Jet Heads C8OE-6090-N

2x4 Aluminum Intake with Holley BJ/BK Carburetors

428 Cobra Jet Exhaust manifolds

AC pump and condenser are included but not working at this time

Transmission:

4 Speed Toploader RUG-AE from 68 Gt500 KR or 68.5 R Code

Factory Automatic Transmission is included with VIN stamp

Rearend:

Nodular “N” Case spline rearend with correct red oxide paint

Interior:

Original 68 Shelby black deluxe interior. The interior is not in concourse condition. Console and carpet has some wear as it seems to be fairly original. Front seats are in excellent condition. Has original Shelby steering wheel, Shelby console, roll bar, and all seatbelts. 8K tach gauges with trip meter. See Pictures.

Body and Paint:

The car is finished in its original highland green paint. The underside of the car was finished in the original red oxide primer when the car was restored. The car was painted and restored in the 2000's. The underside looks really good and would freshen up easily. The car is over very straight and has zero rust. The frame rails and floor pans, all body panels and trunk pans are all solid with no ugly patchwork or anything. The car was a Texas car for many years. The paint is overall very nice and smooth and glossy. The paint has a few imperfections here and there specifically the worst being a spot on the trunk lid where the paint has cracked, and a spot on the rear panel right below the passenger rear glass where the paint has lifted and bubbled. The car has a small few touchups and a various other very minor imperfections, but does not take away from the integrity of the car. See pictures and videos.
