Lovely Nissan Figaro in Lapis grey

I guess that if you're reading this. you're probably already aware of the history and the cult status surrounding these cars. For those who aren't so sure please let me fill in some of the gaps.

 The Figaro was introduced at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show under the slogan "Back to the Future". It was built by a Nissan special projects group called Pike Factory. which also produced other niche automobiles such as the Be-1. Pao and S-Cargo. It was based on the K10 Nissan Micra aka March. Only four colours were available: Topaz Mist. Emerald Green. Pale Aqua and of course the one we have here. apis Grey. Each colour symbolised a season of the year. When the car was launched. Topaz Mist was the least popular colour. There were only 2. 00 produced in Topaz Mist hence they have become increasingly rare. The Figaro was sold without the Nissan name.

 The Figaro was equipped with leather seats. air conditioning. CD player and an open roof. It was designed by Shoji Takahashi. who won a design competition with the car.

 Only 8000 were originally available with an additional 12. 00 added to production numbers to meet demand. Prospective purchasers had to enter a lottery to be able to buy one of these cars. Limited edition cars came with passenger side baskets and cup holders. These now fetch hundreds on internet auction sites

 This particular little car was sold by ourselves almost six years ago. nd has obviously been cherished since. It has clearly been used as a "high days and holidays car" with only around 1600 miles being covered in the last four years.

 The car drives exceptionally well. with a surprising turn of speed from the turbocharged 1ltr engine and auto box. It has covered only around 62000 miles from new. The full leather interior is immaculate. and the folding sunroof (a traditional weak spot)is absolutely perfect. Coachwork is in Lapis Grey. and again. is very. very good. Even the original factory stickers are still intact on the sills and in the engine bay. All in all. a great example of these iconic little cars. Many of the Figaros that were imported in the early nineties are now starting to show their age due to the salt on our roads. but this one was only imported 6 years ago. and clearly cherished by its two subsequent owners.

 Please compare our price. and please don't confuse the VERY competitive price with some of the poorer quality Figaros out there. A new MOT will be carried out at point of sale.
