1958 Rolls Royce SIlver Cloud I COLD AIR

The nutmeg leather interior is surrounded by stunningly. magnificent Burl Walnut woodwork throughout. This motorcar. set off by the classic gangster whitewalls. is one of Rolls Royce's most sought after models.

The Silver Cloud I is by many experts' opinions one of the greatest sculptured moving works of art of all time. True to its name. the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I offers such a smooth ride it almost feels as if you are being carried over the road. Any Rolls Royce is an attention getting icon. but the Silver Cloud I offers a design that is impossible to pass by without demanding attention. .

Locally. this show car has been offered to the general public. through our vintage car service at a rate of $500 per hour. You may be surprised to learn that (at such a rate) this beautiful car stayed in such high demand. that the majority of requests. unfortunately. had to be turned away. unless arrangements were made many months in advance.

We've owned this Rolls Royce since late 2007. and have all of the receipts for services performed throughout the time of our ownership. in addition we have the original build sheet. that will go to the new owner. Mechanically the car starts right up and runs well. Sporting a 4. 9 liter straight 6 engine. The upper motor was dismantled. and cylinder head overhauled in 2008. and the transmission was rebuilt at that time. The functioning odometer indicates 36333 miles. but the actual mileage. of course. is anyone's guess.

The nutmeg leather interior is original in every way and is certainly usable and presentable as is. The headlight dimmer switch needs replacing. but we have one. and it will go with the car. The glossy burl walnut picnic trays for the rear passengers open and close as they should. and the interior is comfortable and authentic. Overall the carpet is good. but could benefit from a professional cleaning. There is a portion of the right front carpet that is in need of replacing. but the floor mat. covers it well. and because of where its at. it's not in an area that is noticeable to many. The previous owner (installed) an AM FM Cassette stereo. that while functional. and fully operational. may need to be updated to a more suitable sound system.

Make no mistake…While not a museum piece. this is a well cared for automobile. and money-maker to be sure. It has more than paid for itself since joining our fleet in 2007. The vehicle is ready to be placed back into livery service. or be enjoyed by a private collector. for years to come.

Its home (when not hired for a celebration) is a climate controlled garage. with ambient temperature set at 71 degrees throughout the year. As a popular part of our livery fleet. and on the streets of a major metropolitan city. there are the assorted imperfections. nicks and scratches that come with any vehicle. however FAR FEWER than one might expect on a classic that is 55 years old.
