Absolutely Stunning 1965 Sunbeam Tiger For Sale

A truly magnificent car in stunning condition, the subject of a total restoration by my friend who owns the car and on behalf of whom I am advertising the car.There is a raft of photographs showing the condition of the car prior to starting the restoration, the restoration from start to finish and of course completed project photos, the photos here do not do the car justice but serve as an indication only as to the amazing condition the car is in, of course all these photos will go with the car to the new owner, and further photos can be emailed upon request of whatever you may wish to see.Al, is a time served aircraft engineer now retired and is responsible almost entirely for what you see before you today, with the exception of the engine which has been rebuilt by his pal a time served motor engineer who is ex Coombes Jaguar racing and of course the Respray and Re Trim.It is fair to say Al is a perfectionist, which will be obvious if you decide to view the car, during its long restoration ( for which he has suffered much riducule from us - his mates - will it ever be finished !?) Al completely stripped the car back to a shell, removed EVERYTHING mechanical and electrical repaired the chassis, purchased body panels which he rejected as not good enough quality so made his own !! Lead loaded the reconstructed bodywork and completely rebuilt all suspension and other mechanicals and installed all new/ restored electrical items including new wiring loom, drive train everything.The car has been owned since around 1992 I believe and since completion covered only approximately 20 miles , it will need a shake down and of course some minor adjustments I am sure, but these will all be dealt with for the buyer prior to collection or delivery.I have listed the car as not modified but it has been the subject of sympathetic renovation using where possible all original components and where it is felt worthy, upgraded items to improve reliability and drive ability BUT ESSENTIALLY a totally original car.Typical enhancements are the Holley Carburettors , Minilite Wheels and Stainless Steel Exhaust. Every effort has been made to keep to all original parts but some are just no longer available and in these instances care has been taken to stick as closely as is possible to the original specification.The Sunbeam Tiger was originally fitted with a chrome coachline drilled and screwed to the bodywork, a perfect place for rust to develop and destroy the car, which of course is what happened to lts of them !
