A rare project car these days - there are very few Elan's left that have not been rebuilt – particularly original RHD Drop Heads.

We bought this car 4 years ago. but we currently have many historic road and race car projects on for customers. that we have run out of time and space to finish our own projects.

We work closely with Spyder Cars. and the Elan has their newly refurbished and strengthened chassis. which we have built into a rolling chassis. It includes engine. gearbox. prop shaft. diff. new front aluminium fully adjustable shock absorbers. new rear adjustable shock absorbers and all new springs. new brakes pipes. new drive shaft donuts x 4. new aluminium steering rack mounts. new lotocones. all new wheel bearings. new hand brake cable. new fuel line. new engine gearbox and diff mountings.

The engine has been totally rebuilt by well-known twin cam specialist and includes - Rebore block to +. 040 & reface. Crankshaft assembly polished and fully balanced. new Powermax Pistons. new main and big end Bearings. new flywheel ring gear and clutch assembly. Head fully rebuilt with all new valves/springs/retainers etc - all to standard SE spec. Itemised invoice available for over £4. 00 (trade price)

Diff and gearbox rebuilt by us. so all running gear is ready to go.

Sale also includes new wiring loom. brake discs and pads. and rebuilt wiper motor.

Main bodywork taken back to gel coat. primed and undercoated. and is ready for preparing for paint - requires replacement bonnet & boot.

The car is 95% complete – we are aware that some items that are missing/too far-gone to repair; these include headlight vacuum pods. headlights. exhaust system. window motors. heater. and the seats repairable but have seen better days. We have supplied photos of all parts included with the car; if a part is not showing. please assume it needs replacement.

We have set a realistic reserve. bearing in mind the initial cost of the vehicle and the amount of work already carried out. We require a £500 Pay pal deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending. The car must be collected and paid for in full (cash or bank transfer) within 7 days of the auction ending. Please DO NOT BID if you cannot comply with these terms.
