This auction is for my 1968 Bedford Dormobile Debonair, a very rare camper van with a lovely 50's/60's styleIt was purchased as a project for my daughter that never quite took off.  Nevertheless it was sent to 'Classic and Retro', where at great cost it was stripped back, the internal wood frame replaced with welded steel and various updates and replacements made, including windows, roof lights, LED internal lighting and seats before being completely repainted.However, after being driven home the project was never completed and the internal fit out left undone, 'Bertie' has stood on our drive ever since, attracting the attention of nearly every visitor and delivery driver with time to stop for a moment or two.The time has come for him to move on and give someone else the opportunity to bring their own stamp to his future as whatever they choose it to be.The fibreglass body will not rust, the steel frame will ensure a long future ahead.Please study the pictures and if interested in bidding please do come and look him over.Some details to help;Currently SORN the only driving since 2016 has been an occasional spin round the gardenWill need to be transported by it's new ownerEngine needs a tune upBrakes need bleedingTyres were all new in 2016 and therefore have done no more than 40 milesAdjustable seats are from a modern Fiat 500 (Retro look) and fitted with new lap diagonal seat belts mounted to the chassis and the new steel frameModern multi adjustable roof lights have both insect screens and blindsLarge sliding window also fitted with insect screen and blind (this was for the original intent as a sales van)So there you have it, a blank canvass for a new owner to create whatever they wish it to be.Payment by cleared bank transfer only, prior to or on the day of collection.
