Up for bid is a rare 1951 FORD MERCURY M-1 HALFTON SHORT BOX pickup truck.  Mercury M-1's are the Canadian equivalent to their American counterpart the Ford F1 but with a slightly different engine displacement.  This one is very solid and rust free with the exception of the floor boards and a small area at the top/middle of windshield.  Needs glass all around except for one side window glass which is good.  Very minor metal work is needed as most panels are straight with little or no rust as the pictures show. At some point in time someone used surface bondo on the front fenders but they are not rusted through anywhere that I could see. The wood floor in the box is rotted away and motor/transmission are in the box condition unknown.  It is a column shift but someone installed a floor shift transmission for some reason but left column shifter intact.  The hood is not original and comes with Ford F3 badging and it has a super hard to find Mercury tailgate. I do have a set of Mercury M-1 spears and badges that I will include that are in excellent condition.  The grille is missing the center tooth and is only staged for pictures but will be removed for shipment. Missing both bumpers and drivers door inspection panel but these are not difficult parts to source. This is a very hard to find truck these days and you won't find a nicer one to start your project with but it will need a complete restoration.  Can assist with shipping and necessary paperwork if needed and provide temporary storage pending pickup arrangements by successful bidder.  Truck comes with current Canadian title and is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and is approximately 75 miles north of Pembina ND, US Port of Entry.  International bidding is welcome provided you are prepared to pay the extra costs related to shipping overseas. Shipping to most UK/European ports runs approximately $1000USD.  Deposit of $500 is due upon completion of the auction with the balance by bank transfer, or Ebay payment, within 3 business days.  This truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel the listing prior to its scheduled ending date.   Thanks for looking...

are they working the motor looked aged from the outside? and i noticed alot of clutch parts?
