As we all know the prices of the MK 2`s have rocketed over the past few years and still seem to be on the increase.

This particular vehicle had been with its previous owner for many years as he had intended to lightly restore her back to her full glory days.  He decided to concentrate on other projects so I decided to purchase it off him and give someone else the wonderful opportunity as it was just not being used.

She started life as a beautiful Jaguar MK 2 3. 4 but was then subjected to the very expensive 3. 8 power-plant upgrade taken from a late Jaguar MK 10 low mileage vehicle.

The car is up and running and although generally very solid throughout she is now in need of some light restoration work to bring her back to her former glory days. Body/paintwork could do with some tlc and if I`m honest you would probably look to attend to the body imperfections and then give her a fresh coat of paint.

Interior is all there and in very good usable condition whilst leaving some scope for some minor improvements.

From a visual perspective the underside looks very good and I can see no obvious signs of any welding needing requiring (or previously done) but I must stress that I`m not an expert and this is an unqualified honest opinion only and is not to be totally relied upon.

To summarise. this car would not need too much to get through a current mot test and I will happily do this for £900 (up front) above the final bid price. alternatively you can go down the diy route. which would probably be the cheaper option anyway.

Before deciding what this car is worth please spend a few moments to do a Google search to ascertain what the going rate is for this particular model.

I doubt very much you will find a nice like-for-like for under £15k.

If you search further afield. and at the top end of the market. you will regularly see prices for this model exceeding £35. 00+. !!!

Then add on the 6 billion pounds for the number plate and then you can hazard a guess of it`s potential true value.

Nevertheless to entice a hassle free sale I have set the reserve well below the current market/insurance value. so this is definitely a bargain to be had.

Obviously due to storage of my trade vehicles and the very nature of older vehicles. I would suggest a good service/overhaul of all fluids. brakes. rubbers. clutches. pipes. engines and electrics would be advisable and most likely needed in some cases.
