Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 314 votes

Triumph 1800 (1778cc) Roadster (MMX 997) 1947. chassis number TRD 575.

The car is being sold as the owner is no longer well enough to make use of it as it deserves .

The car has been owned since 2005 and was already restored prior to its purchase. receipts show that it was fully upholstered in1995. at a cost of £2. 26. 38 by David Beswick coach trimmer. it would be fair to assume that its restoration took place around that date.

The V5 shows that the car has had two registered keepers and the chassis number correlates to that as in the picture.

The car runs well with no smoke or rattles. All gears work as they should.

The car has additional indicators which have been fitted as the semaphores don't like to be hurried.

All the bright work is present and in good order. a receipt for re-plating is present at a cost £729. 68 (1995)

All the tyres are brand new. with the spare never being used.

All the brakes have had extensive work. including new linings and cylinders.

The car has a full stainless steel exhaust fitted by Longlife.

The upholstery is in excellent condition. with seats in Connolly Leather.

The paint work is in good condition with a deep shine and no dents.

The chassis is solid and has been undersealed both before it was purchased and by the present owner.

The under bonnet tools are present and included

The car is always garaged and is never used in the wet weather.

In July 1998 the recorded mileage was 656 miles. today it shows 1643. The car was used by the present owner mainly for local shows.

The car is currently SORN

The car comes with a Drivers Instruction Book and a Members Technical Handbook.

The drivers window does not work. however the glass is intact. the handle just keeps turning.

The drivers door does not close properly and has marked the paintwork in places.

The hood is in excellent condition. however. it has a small hole about 5mm in diameter to the offside.

The wood attached to the hood that secures to the window has a split in it.

The car has a water leak from the very front of the engine.

The car has a few marks to the body work in areas. As the well informed will know. the body is all aluminium. so there is no rust.

I very much welcome any question(s) you have and urge any potential buyer to come and view the car. The best form of communication is via email. Please bear in mind that this car is old. However. it does not hide a rotten chassis or any other surprises. I have given a balanced view of the condition. The car has been well looked after.

I am able to arrange delivery (mainland UK) only. This will be at your expense though.

Please be aware that I am not a dealer and will require a £100 non-refundable deposit within 24hrs after the end of the auction. The balance will then be payable on collection via banker's draft or bank transsfer.
