I have a 1970 AMX that needs to be restored. I call it an easy restoration because a Body Work Guy can have this ready for paint in a weekend. This car had one paint job besides the original one. This car is about as solid as you will find in a 1970 AMX ready for restoration. This car has been sitting in storage for many years and it shows.  I tried to show the original pinch welds in the wheel archs. and I tried to show how extremely clean and solid the floors are. Everybody that sees this car in person can't believe how soild it is. The body only has some door dings and a scratch on the passengers front fender.  I bought this 5 years ago with the intent of restoring it. I love the Sonic Silver Color with the rare Tan Leather interior. The engine is a 360. I drove this around the neighborhood when I bought it. but it didn't have brakes so I couldn't go too far. This had been sitting a whlie before I got it. so the brake caliber wasn't working. I have started the restoration a few years ago. the car was together when I got it. As you can see from the pictures I started to take the car apart. I had all the chrome work done. Both front and rear bumbers. the hood chrome and the hockey stick shape moldings that go below the side rear glass. I partially uncovered the rear bumper in one of the pictures and I partially showed the hood chrome. The Front Grill is in Great Condition. these are usually beat up on cars that need resto. Most of. if not all of the parts that you see boxed up on the shelf are already finished. sanded . rimed and painted.  I also bought off Ebay the Ram Air for the hood. that cost me $800. 00 I also bought a bunch of things that were missing like. original radio. both side mirrors. sun visors. new rubber gaskets for the radiator ( Air Condition Car) new gas tank sending unit. AMX Logo front floor mats. he little checkered flag decals that go on the 360 emblems on the front fenders. The checkered flags that are on there are faded. New battery tray. OEM owners manual . I'm pretty sure in one of the boxes I also bought the upper and lower "AM" Logo radiator hoses. I'm sure there's other things that I just can't think of right now. This car has the Trend Setters Side Pipes. that I think look really mean on this car. I don't have the original side moldings that would go on the car if you were to take the Trend Setters off.  Some of the things that you''ll still need is a new front windshield. seat skins. carpet and headliner. these can be bought at Legendary interiors. Also the AC condensor and the eye brow dash pad. That's all I can think of at this moment. The steering wheel isn't the original AMX wheel. I took a plain black steering wheel and made it look like the wood grain wheel. I did this on my 1968 AMX and nobody even notices the difference. You must arrange your own shipping. I can help on my end when they get here. This car will come with a "Bill of Sale" and a copy of the current registration. In the ad I put that it has a title. nbsp;I Do Not have a Title. nbsp;I had to put something in that field. I have well over $15. 00. 00 in this car. between what I paid for it and all the chroming and ad ons that I bought. This car done right will be worth over $30. 00. 00 My loss. your gain.
