This 1966 Ford F100 Pickup Truck is a great looking, professionally built restomod truck. The 1966 version of Ford's F-Series pickup trucks was the last year of the fourth generation body style. The 4th generation body style was sleeker and wider than its predecessors. Besides a few changes to the exterior trim, the 1966 version of the F100 largely remained unchanged from the previous year. This particular Ford Pickup comes to us out of Texas, where it spent a number of years in a large private collection. While this Ford 1/2 Ton appears mostly stock from the outside, it is equipped with an Electronic Fuel Injected 5.8 Liter Ford SVT Lightning Motor that is believed to push out 240 horsepower. The SVT Lightning Trucks were Ford's high performance F150 trucks and they were designed by Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) who had previously worked on Ford's high performance Mustangs. Known for their improved performance, the Lightning trucks were well received at the time and are to an extent the predecessors to Ford's current Raptor line. The 5.8L Lightning motor on this F100 is mated to an Automatic Transmission, that anybody can easily drive. This Ford 1/2 Ton is also equipped with Power Brakes for improved stopping power. Power Steering is also a welcome addition to this restomod truck, which makes for a much more enjoyable drive. The exterior is beautifully finished in a two-tone White and Turquoise color scheme, giving this truck a stunning exterior look. Sitting on Kruz Chrome Rims with Radial Tires, this mean machine is ready to roll! The steel bed on this beauty has been upgraded with a Diamond Plate lining and is outfitted with a locking Gaylord's tonneau cover. The gray cloth bench seat interior is custom for the truck and looks fantastic! The steering wheel has been upgraded a Grant GT wheel for a more custom look. The gauges have all been upgraded and include a fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, speedometer, tachometer, temperature gauge, and volt gauge. With a modern Pioneer Entertainment system, you'll be able to listen to all of your tunes cruising down the road. This F100 Pickup has also been upgraded to include Air Conditioning by Vintage Air so that you can keep cool even on the hottest days. The dash is in excellent condition and matches the overall look of the truck. If you're looking for a custom, one-of-a-kind restomod truck, this 1966 Ford F100 1/2 Ton Restomod Pickup Truck is an excellent choice. Give us a call today!
