This is a premium example of rolling art. This frame off restored Packard has an interesting story. Born a 640 pheaton that was rebodied by LeBaron custom coach builders in 1932 to earn Packards business. It would later become an incredible barn find. In 1981 this car was rediscovered in a Port Orchard WA woodshed. The car was given a 12 year, complete body off frame restoration. Recently it was refreshed including new glass finish midnight blue paint and matching leather.

EXTERIOR: It was recently completely taken apart and professionally restored. Painted gorgeous midnight blue. The body is pristine, I don't see any signs of damage, cracking or blisters. The doors fit and close beautifully. The paint is polished out like glass, even the door jambs are painted smooth and glossy. The fenders are one of a kind handcrafted from meta. Every piece of exterior chrome was sent out and professionally restored. It has a very sporty chrome framed V windshield with wing windows. It also has cowl lights and Trippe lights upfront. There are five matching chrome wire wheels and white wall tires. The running boards are restored. The convertible top was replaced, it's a tan Haartz cloth top with blue leather edges. The framework is restored with new wood and chrome.

INTERIOR: Inside the car is restored meticulously. Down on the floor is soft wool carpet with leather bound edges. All new blue leather upholstery professionally installed. It has pockets on the doors. The dash area has been completely restored- the gauges have been refinished, the bezels are rechromed. The steering wheel is restored like brand new.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has an original straight eight motor that looks to be all restored properly. The chrome hardware sparkles, the manifold has new porcelain, the correct cloth plug wires were used. It runs smooth. The compartment is show quality.

UNDERSIDE: This was body off the frame restored. The entire bottom of this car is clean and fresh. All the suspension components front and back we're restored. The chassis has all been cleaned and painted a smooth satin black finish. The bottom of the motor and the 3-speed transmission look fresh. Clean floors are smooth metal. Gas tank is painted gloss black.

This has been my family business since 1960, when I was a kid this is the type of car we were selling. I can tell you there is a lot more that goes into restoring one of these classics compared to a 69 Camaro or a 65 Mustang. We have recently sold several Camaros for well over $100,000. Now do you see the value in this true classic? It would command respect and praise wether parked in your collection or out for a drive. Onlookers will feel privileged just to see it. If you would still rather have a Camaro, I've got plenty of those. If you want this Packard, right now is your only chance!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn't have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else's.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn't sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
