Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this early TR-4 convertible in interesting colors. This car was just purchased from it's owner/restorer in Texas who lost interest in the car and moved on to anther project. The car has received very good to excellent bodywork and paint on a great, rustfree, no-hit body. It's one of the best we have seen this year. The car could use some general easy finish work that would only entail a few weekends by the novice restorer, as most all of the hard work is done. PLEASE SEE WALK AROUND VIDEO for details.

The body on this car is superb, with excellent gapping and fit. Fresh paintwork has been completed to a really nice standard. There's the addition of a black racing stripe added to the car incorporating the power bulge, a very creative and attractive touch ! Chromework is very good to excellent. We have the front bumper, which is included. A new windshield gasket has been installed with the original windshield glass, which has a few blemishes.

The car's interior is good. The correct early style seats are comfortable and supportive, and have been trimmed in black vinyl. Carpets are older but still nice in black loop. The dashboard could use some finishing knick-knacks. The car still retains the original panel kit that is now looking a little tired, along with an average black soft top.

Mechanically, the previous owner stated that the car's engine had been rebuilt, which seems to ring true. It starts easily on the key with great oil pressure, clean oil, no noises or smoke, runs strong. It looks quite clean like it definitely had a previous rebuild. The front suspension looks also like it was rebuilt in the past with new bushes, trunnions. Brakes appear all new with new lines as well. A newer muffler has been fitted. The car drives along the road very well with no issues with a very good full syncro gearbox, clutch, brakes, etc. It needs a new tire set. They're old and cracked. PLEASE SEE DRIVING VIDEO. Overall, an exciting competition-looking TR-4 needing only some light finishing, after much quality work has been done. This car has a great chassis/body and has clearly been looked after all of it's life. It's a good buy going forward.

9.Title Information: Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashier's checks we will hold all titles until funds have cleared.

10.Shipping & Delivery:

a.Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

b.Licensed Carriers are generally insured. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after the vehicle leaves our showroom. All shipping arrangements are provided by Kurt Tanner Motorcars as a courtesy. We are not affiliated with any carrier. Any claims or other communication regarding shipment of vehicles will be between you and the shipper, not with Kurt Tanner Motorcars.

c.The amount of time it takes for delivery is dependent on the carrier, but is generally 7-14 days from the date the vehicle is picked up from our facility until it is delivered to your destination. Verify with the shipper for an Estimate Time of Arrival to be sure.

11.Finalizing your Purchase:

a.Kurt Tanner Motorcars will contact the successful high bidder by e-mail after the auction closes.

b.Successful high bidder MUST communicate with Kurt at Kurt Tanner Motorcars by e-mail or phone (909) 241-1051 within 48 hours of the auction ending to make arrangements to complete their transaction. If we cannot confirm your intention to buy or the sale is not completed within 7 days, we reserve the right to relist this vehicle or sell to any other qualified buyer.

c.At time of sending initial deposit, before said vehicle is released for shipment to Buyer, all other Sale related and title related paperwork must be signed and returned complete to Seller.
