SWAPPED 383 STROKER V8, TH350 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, CUSTOM & NICELY BUILT

The 1977 Datsun 280Z is a cool and appreciating Japanese classic, but this one also adds a ton of custom attitude from an upgrade with a full Pro Street that includes performance-built 383 stroker V8, upgraded powertrain, custom interior, and a sleek look that instantly announces this one is something extra special.

The Electric Blue with Stardust metallic element loves to radiate in the sunshine and draw extra attention to this special coupe. Most all of this car has custom touches, from a sporty and sleek front end with a custom bumper, bright mesh grille, and louvered hood, the clear headlights with matching blue-dot center is a nice detail along with the fully customized graphics package with full-length pin-stripes, custom pin-striping around the Datsun badge up front, and a callout on the side proudly announcing the upgrade in power. The full-width rear spoiler will remind you of a Camaro Z28, so will the taillight package that was expertly integrated. It's no wonder the custom pin-striping on the rear proudly announces this has American Muscle.

Just like the exterior, the interior is quite custom, and it is bold! The silver pinstripe outside gets you ready for the custom silver door panels and dash. This has all the right performance-ready upgrades, racing bucket seats with RCI five-point harnesses, and rear safety cage w/fire extinguisher. You have a proper B&M ratchet shifter, and the Grant GT sports steering wheel is on a tilt column so you can get a clear view to the dash full of AutoMeter gauges. There are provisions for a stereo system controlled through a pop-up LCD screen for the AM/FM/CD/XM stereo w/aux input.

There is nothing Japanese about the engine bay it has an American style flair on the bright and smooth inner walls, that funnel all your attention to the V8 in the middle. This is a 383 cubic-inch stroker motor that is built with quality components like aluminum heads, a four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. This ultra-tidy engine bay also reveals nice supporting components, like the MSD ignition and distributor along with an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The motor is said to produce 451 horsepower, the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit built for that kind of power, you can even shift it yourself for the ideal power band on demand. This has been upgraded to the beefier R200 rear end to confidently deliver power to the rear wheels.

The reason why you use a Z-car for an upgrade like this is because you get to take full advantage of its sharp fully-independent suspension. Plus, there are upgrades like the four-wheel power disc brakes and 15-inch ROH alloys that hold modern performance tires. This car is distinct, powerful, and absolutely cool.
