Don't miss out!  If you are in the market for a Thunderbird. your search has ended.   If you are in the market for a turn-key no excuse classic car. your search has ended.   This is a beautiful 1966 Ford Thunderbird.   This classic is a gem!  The exterior and interior are absolutely gorgeous.   The car is equipped with power steering and power brakes.   It has a very strong and great running 390 big block backed by an automatic transmission.   The engine fires right up and idles perfectly.   The transmission shifts are smooth as butter and it goes into gear very easily.   This car runs and drives so well.   You can put one finger on the wheel while cruising 75 mph down the highway.   The brakes are adjusted just right and will stop immediately.   You will be surprised just how well this car will stop.   This may just be one of the nicest examples of a 1966 Ford Thunderbird out there.

 

Exterior - It wears the factory Wimbledon White color.   There is one very small scratch on the passenger rear fender that would not come up in the pictures.   All the trim is in great shape and holds a nice shine.   There are a couple very small dents on the top of the two front fenders.   It looks like it could have come from hail.   They would not appear in pictures and you can only see them if the light hits it just right.   All the lights work.   The body is clean. solid. and straight.   The doors open and close perfectly.   All the jams line up great.   The underside is clean and solid.   There might be a couple paint chips on the entire car. and a spot or two on some of the trim that is marked.   I am trying to be as picky as I can but the exterior is really that good.   It looks fantastic and the stance is just right!

 

Interior - Might be better that the exterior!  There is one small hole in the headliner and one mark on the drivers seat that has been repaired.   T clock does not appear to be working.   All the lights work.   All the gauges work.   The original radio works!  The sliding steering wheel works.   All the levers that operate everything work.   The speedometer bar works and has great color!  All the trim is in great shape and has an awesome shine.   The upholstery is in excellent condition and the carpet is clean.   The interior is awesome.   Again I am trying to be as picky as I can be but it is just in great shape.

 

Engine - Fires right up. idles perfectly. and runs strong with no hiccups.   It is a 390 big block that runs like new.   There is no smoke. strange noises. squeks. etc.   It's a great motor that runs like it should. smooth and strong.

 

 Transmission - Like butter.   It goes into all gears smoothly and shifts through the gears while driving just as good.

 

Steering - The power steering works greats.   There are no noises. leaks. play or issues of any kind.   You can drive with one finger on the highway.   It is just smooth.

 

Suspension - The ride is smooth and tight.   There are no clunks. bangs. noises of any kind.   The car rides great.

 

Brakes - This car stops surprisingly well.   The power brakes are tight and adjusted just right.   Absolutely no safety concerns here.

 

This is a great car and the price can't be beat!  I have tried to describe the car in as much detail as I can.   However I may have missed something.   The car is sold as is.  And please remember as good as the car looks and runs and drives it is 47 years old.   Which is actually pretty amazing when you consider its condition!

      Payments

We accept Certified and Cashiers Checks. Bank Wires and credit cards. All funding and paperwork must be received as soon as possible and within no more than 3 days of auction close or we reserve the right to re-list or sell to any other qualified buyer. Winning bidder must confirm his winning bid with a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. Balance of purchase is due to the seller within 3 days of end of auction.

      Title Information

Vehicle titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments of up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing. there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive.

      Finalizing Your Purchase

Winning bidder MUST communicate with us by e-mail or phone within 24 hours of the end of the auction to make arrangements to complete the transaction. If we cannot confirm your intention to buy or the sale is not completed within 2 business days. we reserve the right to re-list this vehicle or sell to any other qualified buyer.
