We probably sell more C3 Corvettes than anyone else, but in the midst of all the Special Editions and Anniversary models and pace cars, this red-hot Orange Flame 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray really stands out. Beautifully preserved and featuring a believed-original 35,947 actual miles, it's a real head-turner, with a strong 350 V8 under the hood matched up with a quick-shifting 4-speed manual transmission. It's a blast to drive, looks amazing, and is running up in value every year, making this Orange Crush a hot commodity.

Originally Code 70 Orange Flame, this slick Corvette was repainted back to its original red-hot livery not long ago, and it still look great today. That vivid shade pops as brilliantly in person as it does in our pictures, and it will never go out of style on the Corvette's timeless fantastic plastic. The extensive repaint covered every noteworthy surface of the car with the modern urethane, which, once cured, was buffed to the kind of shine only a professionally finished car can really carry. It's not a perfect show winner, and a few minor imperfections can be seen upon very close examination, but it's still a very impressive, driver-quality finish with unreal curb appeal. Fit and finish are quite good and particularly impressive for the price range, and you'll note they took no liberties with the classic shape and just put it back together the way the factory might have wanted it. You can see in the photos that the surfaces are smooth and glossy, and it's probably true that bright paint makes any car look like a million bucks. All the shiny trim was restored and chromed while the car was apart, including the rocker moldings, and all the glass and rubber seals looked to have been replaced during the repaint as well. Man, this Corvette looks great!

The Code 642 Buckskin interior is how this Corvette came from the factory as well, featuring a combination of restored and original parts inside, and it really looks incredible against that orange paint. Bucket seats are every bit as comfortable as they look, with nary any signs of use since the work was completed, with only a few wrinkles to report in the bolsters. Plush carpets and matching door panels accented with woodgrain appliques enhance a very polished presentation, and it even the dash is in great shape and full of clear OEM gauges. By 1976, the Corvette was as much grand tourer as sports car, so things like power steering and brakes, and a tilt/telescoping steering column are pretty much expected and there's an original AM/FM stereo radio in the center of the dash. You'd think that it might be tan overload inside, but the overall effect is quite elegant and polished, and it's part of why this Corvette attracts so much attention on the showroom floor. It's a combination that will simply never go out of style, especially with the 4-speed shifter dominating the center of the cabin, practically begging each passer-by to hop in and have a quick spin. And if it's open-air cruising you're after, the T-Tops come of in a flash and are stored in original-style bags behind the bucket seats.

The "L" in the VIN means this is an L48 350 cubic inch V8, rated at 180 horsepower. Verified as the original, numbers matching block, it's believed to only have 35,947 miles on the block, and because of that low count it's running great today. Turn the key and it fires quickly and while 180 horsepower doesn't seem like a lot today, the overall low curb weight and fat torque curve helps this C3 feel quick around town and makes it easy to dispatch lesser cars. The presentation under the hood is gorgeous, with a chrome air cleaner and distributor cover adding some pop, while the Chevy Orange enamel on the block and valve covers is yet another traditional touch that looks great. You can see that there are quite a few newer components under the hood, so someone's been taking care of this 'Vette, so you shouldn't think twice about heading out on the road with it. Underneath, it's quite impressive as well and again shows signs of conscientious ownership over the years, and the quick-shifting 4-speed manual transmission gives it great point-and-shoot capabilities. Power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes make driving this C3 an absolute delight, and the original exhaust system sounds fantastic when the throttle is down. Rallye wheels with bright center caps and beauty rings were standard and wear fat 225/70/15 Goodyear Eagle GTII white-letter radials that totally fill the fenders.

Where else are you going to be able to own an icon with fresh paint and interior, great V8 performance, and an awesome color combination for so little cash? Don't expect this one to stick around, call today!

General Terms

Terms & Conditions

We recognize the need for complete transparency when buying/selling vehicles on eBay. That said, we did not build, modify, or have the luxury of personal ownership that would give us the advantage of knowing all unknown aspects of each vehicle. Transparency is king and we're happy to try and answer ALL questions our customers might have prior to purchasing. Additionally, we welcome and encourage independent inspections (see Inspection statement below).

FEES: A documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale. Sale price does not include any Title, License, Registration, State or Local Taxes or Processing Fees. We recommend you familiarize yourself with your individual state's taxes, transfer, or additional fees.

AVAILABILITY: Please inquire prior to purchase to assure any advertised vehicle is not already sold. We advertise across multiple platforms where a vehicle can sell in a moment's notice. Vehicles may be sold prior to eBay listing end, and we reserve the right to end listings early or to cancel bids/offers solely at our discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

CONTACT: Note that you may hear from us after to the sale, but if you are a winning bidder, click a Buy-It-Now, or we accept your eBay Offer, it is your responsibility to contact us within 24 hours.

INSPECTION: VERY IMPORTANT. If a buyer chooses to buy sight unseen (many of our buyers choose this option) the buyer accepts the vehicle AS-IS and understands we cannot address concerns post sale. For this reason, it's important all concerns are addressed prior to purchase. We make every effort to present accurate and reliable information, but use of this information is voluntary, and should only be deemed reliable after an independent review of its accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. It is the sole responsibility of the customer/buyer to verify the existence of options, accessories and the vehicle condition before time of sale.

PAYMENT: We require a non-refundable $500 deposit within 48 hours of winning or commitment to purchase. Full payment is required within 7 days of offer acceptance unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said timeframe, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered void. For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears). We also offer vehicle financing, please inquire for details prior to making bids/offers. SHIPPING: We have access to a network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway and upon your schedule. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody. Buyers are welcomed to trailer vehicles home and we are happy to have everything ready to see you off with your new vehicle.

DRIVE IT HOME: If you plan to buy and drive home, please keep some things in mind. Anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially a classic or antique one. We recommend transporting all vehicles to your home first, then driving it locally. Get to know the vehicle and its tendencies before embarking on a long-distance trip. If you choose to drive your new vehicle home, buyer accepts all responsibility as we are unable to control what may take place once it leaves our facility.

DOCUMENTS & VEHICLE TITLE: All purchase documents are sent immediately upon purchase. To avoid delays, we recommend returning any required documents within 24 hours of receipt. Please allow up to 30 days for vehicle titles. Usually titles are available sooner, we ask for the extra time in the event there are unforeseen circumstances.

VIN VERIFICATION: We photograph the primary VIN location of every vehicle and make sure that VIN exactly matches the vehicle's current title. Buyer agrees to hold seller harmless from any disputes arising from other hidden or secondary VINs present on the vehicle as seller only verifies the primary VIN location. If needed, it is the buyer's sole responsibility to verify secondary VIN locations their specific state may inspect, prior to purchase.

MILEAGES: Occasionally our vehicles may be driven or simply moved around our facilities. Slight differences may occur so we recommend you confirm actual and current miles prior to purchase.

CONDITION: We cover the obvious and do our best to describe our vehicles in detail. Even so, please have a transparent conversation with us before purchasing. Do be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Finally, be advised that although our sales associates are here to assist you with your purchase, they are not trained or certified vehicle inspectors.

AS-IS: All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied. If you choose to waive inspection, do plan to have a detailed and transparent conversation with us regarding the vehicle's condition. Ask the hard questions up front. Please just call us, we are here to help and welcome all your questions!

Information is provided to the best of our knowledge and we make no warranty or representation regarding the accuracy, truth, or reliability of such information. We cannot be responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies contained in information provided by the consignor/seller of the vehicle.
