Thanks for checking out our very special little Beetle.

Originally registered in Finland, this car had only one owner from new for the first 30 years of its life and is a matching numbers car. The engine is the car's original engine with no end float at all and the paintwork is 90% original paintwork as it left the factory.

This Beetle is a completely standard and stock vehicle which is getting rare to find these days. Even the distributor is the period correct non-Bosch version. There is no rust or rot across the bodywork, all panel gaps are perfect and the doors shut effortlessly with that very satisfying classic car door shut sound. The paintwork is all original apart from a few minor ‘blow-ins' across the wing edges, the decklid by the number plate light area and a small section of the rain gutter on the offside. These are very minor areas and have been done extremely sympathetically to preserve as much of the factory paint as possible. The rest of the paintwork has been very lightly mopped to provide a light shine but again very sensitive to ensure not too much paint has been cut. This has given it a lovely sheen without being too shiny and really dates the car well. Whilst this is a super clean example, there are the odd imperfections – a couple of stone chips on the bonnet, several minimal light scratches across the paint and chrome work which is expected of a 56 year old car but nothing of any significance. As a result, she's a very usable car which we'd strongly encourage, it could easily take pride in someone's classic car collection but also drive to classic car gatherings and enjoy a lazy summer cruise.

We believe the mileage to be correct at 143k KM's (approx 90k miles). There is a history file which backs this up and huge effort recording all the previous owners of the car right from day one.

The interior is in lovely condition. The headlining is very clean with no staining and the seats are thought to be all original which are all still in incredible condition. Door cards are matching and all switches, levers and winders operate with smoothness and precision. We've never had a Beetle window winder operate so effortlessly than they do in this car!! The rubber mats have got brittle with age but are still present, however a new set of basket weave mats have been sourced to keep it feeling comfortable.

Mechanically she's extremely tight and you can tell its been loved and cared for. We have recent invoices totalling approx £2000 which include servicing items, suspension bushes, brakes overhaul plus brand new vintage style cross-ply tyres. The gear change is light and precise and she'll trundle along happily at 60mph for hours on end.

Overall this is a bit of a time warp car that has been lovingly cared for by each of it's owners – fiercely protecting its originality and standard/stock appearance. It's sure to provide its new owner with some incredible memories for years to come.
