A regretable advert for my '68 Plymouth Fury 3.

I have owned the car since September 2018 and have loved every minute of it, however all good things must come to and end as I don't have the time or the space to treat it how I want to.

Sits currently at 53 years old so she's not in concourse condition but does have a lovely patina and is perfectly usable.

Tax exempt

Insurance for myself for the year is a limited mileage policy is around £150 for the year.

I think it is also MOT exempt however I have it tested every year so don't take my word on that.

Work that has been carried out whilst I have had the car is as follows:

Speedo repair - carried out by speedy cables - hense the mileage reading on the MOT being not fitted etc.

Annual oil changes using Lucas 10w40 high zinc hot rod series oil.

New timing chain and both gears.

New MSD blaster ignition coil

Spark plugs x8

Condenser, rotor arm and distributor cap.

Spark plugs leads and king lead.

Carb stripped and cleaned in an ultra sonic bath - reassembled with new gaskets etc. The auto choke arrangement has been removed as it was misbehaving and I only use the car in the summer months so it's not an issue to me.

New intake manifold gaskets

Aftermarket oil pressure and coolant temp gauges. (see photo)

Half of the underside has been treaded with POR15, Including dopping the fuel tank. As I said before I just don't have the time.

New alternator

x2 fan belts.

New lower rad hose.

New rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders, diff seals and gear oil.

New rear brake lines.

Straight through exhaust.

Drivers front brake pipe replaced.

Someone before me had changed all the tyres to radials.

Bits to note:

This model did have factory AC fitted. I have removed most of the hardware under the bonnet as it makes it 10x easier to work on and around. I have kept the compressor, condenser, the drier receiver and the pipes. It wasn't working when I bought it and had no intensions of making it work.

Radio speaker doesn't work. I have removed the speaker from the dash but I haven't replaced it as I'd rather roll the window down and listen to it bumble along.

There are small patches of rust on the vehicle as you would expect with something of this age, but by no means is this a rust box. There is a photo of the passenger side rear of the boot floor that has holed after I took a knot wheel in a grinder to the boot floor to see to what extent it was.. and that was it. I haven't had this sorted as I didn't want to just weld a flat plate in. The boot floor has been painted in it's life with brown paint so what you see in the photo isn't copious amounts of surface corrosion.

From what I can see the only place that this has had welding to is under the rear window and has had filler applied (see last photo for "crazing" of the paint).

I have recently knocked back and rust treated the drivers C pillar where it meets the rear quater pannel which is why the paint match isn't close. I do have photos of what is underneath this if someone would like to see.

Factory temp gauge is stuck on H. As I have said previously this has been disconected so I haven't looked into it.

All that said she is a lovely C body mopar which will always put a smile on your face and everyone around it.

I have nothing to hide on this so inspections are welcomed and encouraged - and if you give me enough notice I maybe able to get it on a ramp at work for who ever to have a look around.

If you would like photos of a specific area or anything more indepth then please let me know and I will accommodate.

Test rides available on request.

Bank transfer perferable and funds must clear before the car is released.

Initial contact would be best through here. I can't always get to nor hear my phone.

Thanks for looking
