    WOLSELEY 15/50 FOR SALE
We are proud to offer our beloved wolseley 15/5o for sale. he car came to us 5 years ago having been stored for eight years. the car was complete and although neglected was solid. the underside was completely sound and original. after the parts and doors were removed the paint work was sanded off and all the rusted areas were treated with built hamber hydrate 8o rust treatment. a few small areas were lead loaded before the car was coated with red oxide primer. after a rub down a coat of 2k wet on wet primer was applied. The car was then finished in base coat and 2k high solid lacquer. out of preference I chose the BL colour cranberry which is slightly brighter than the original maroon and which gives the car a more cheerful appearance that always attracts admiring looks and compliments. once the paintwork was complete the interior was cleaned and the leather was rejuveinated with woollies leather restoration treatment the carpets were renewed as were the door seals. all the underside was thoroughly cleaned and painted with chassis black and waxoil. The braking system was overhauled completely every wheel cylinder was replaced along with the brake shoes and brake hoses. the master cylinder was resealed as was the clutch slave . he engine has been serviced. oil & filter replaced . plugs . points distributor cap rotor arm also replaced. new dynamo has been fitted and the engine crypton tuned. he engine runs perfectly with good oil pressure no back pressure or smoking. The transmission oils have been changed and the gear box and axle are smooth and quiet . overall the car looks great and is a pleasure to drive. The chrome work would benefit from a re chrome  but as you can see from the photos it is passable. Due to it's age there is no MOT requirement but the car will have a 12 months MOT regardless. lso the number plate is currently advertised with reg transfers and has a value of around £2000. I have been asked several times if the no plate is being sold with the car. can confirm that it is. also I would like to add that I have the car advertised elsewhere and may end the auction early should an acceptable offer be made
