This Austin Healey replica was a special high end order utilizing the best optimum and rarest drivetrain available, the SVO Turbo Charged 2.3 4cyl engine. It has been loved and pampered its whole life. I call it a survivor since it is over 30 years of age and is all original and unrestored.

Radiator: Custom High Perf aluminium cross flow radiator with auxiliary electric fan for super efficient air flow and cool running.

Steering: SVO Mustang rack & pinion / manual / steers incredibly easy and tight

Exterior finish: Gorgeous BRIGHT RED GEL COAT FINISH, not paint. The Gel Coat is part of the body composite. It is very easy to maintain and resistant to chips and dings. The incredible glossy durable finish is original and stunning. The quality of the exterior finish is proof of the high quality materials used and excellent workmanship as evident by the near flawless Gel coat finish done in Bright Red. Gel coat is labor intensive and costly so today's replicas use raw fiberglass body outer surface that has to be heavily body-worked and massaged for a smooth finish then the fiberglas and bodywork are painted which is very prone to chipping as paint does not bond well to it and chips off at the slightest incident. This car is all original and has been driven so it is not flawless, but is as close as it gets for a 30+ year old original vehicle.

Original build Cost: In 1990 this high end custom build cost $30K+. Today's equivalent value would be around $70K to $80K.

Title:  clean Georgia title, in my name, title is in my possession, and vehicle is registered and insured. Vehicle has had three prev owners.

Personal Comments: This is a very solid tight vehicle that handles, performs, and feels  like a modern era car and is far superior in handling / dependability / and ease of maintenance than the original iconic Austin Healey it faithfully replicates in appearance. The Ford SVO High Output  2.3 fuel Injected turbo charged motor delivers mid 80s era H.O. 5.0L V8 GT Mustang engine power but in a much smaller lightweight compact package. This SVO motor and drivetrain is 100% factory stock. Most Healey replicas that exist today are based on the Sebring version having modified “wide body” fender flares, louvered hood, modified front grill openings, removed bumpers, racing paint schemes, swept back windshield, etc and really do not look like the original Austin Healey at all in my opinion. Also nearly all are powered by V8s, which to me personally, is a poor mismatch for this kind of vintage sports car due to the extra unwanted and detrimental weight up front plus overpowering which leads to poor handling. This extremely rare MKIII Austin Healey 3000 is a near exact “spot-on” replica that is very faithful to the original Healey's maintaining the classy vintage look plus a perfectly balanced drivetrain and suspension.  This vehicle was designed to replicate the 1963 model year which was the first year Austin Healeys came with roll up windows instead of snap on side curtains. It has actual Austin Healey parts that add greatly to the detail such as trunk Hinges, trunk handle, front blinkers, NOS Healey shifter knob, emblems. It even has the bright trim molding that runs along the top edge of the front and rear fenders which is critical for a authentic appearance. Being an extremely light weight vehicle (I was told just over 2K pounds) powered by a powerful turbo charged 4 cylinder motor that delivers smooth near V8 power really adds to the vintage driving experience while keeping it a very exciting extremely quick nimble vehicle to drive. This Healey has tremendous style, performance, balance, dependability, comfort, authenticity in appearance PLUS the usefulness of roll up windows, a functional all weather top (tan in color) , heater, radio,  and a very useful locking trunk with spare tire & jack. Plus added features like having a tilt steering wheel, windshield wipers, high low beams, emergency flashers, etc..all add up to make this a real world useable vehicle you can actually get in use, be comfortable and enjoy. Best of all, this Healey is automatically presumed by people to be the real deal! So the only real question is: are you commiting a "car sin" when you do not tell anyone it is a replica while they are heaping praise on you about "your beautiful Healey"? I believe this is the best looking, most iconic, and functional vintage roadster for an affordable price you can buy and actually enjoy.
