For sale is a very nice. well performing. clean. and much loved Porsche Boxster 986.   These cars are an exceptional value. as they offer tons of fun and performance for a fraction of the cost of 911s.   I bought this car in very nice shape and put $10k in work / parts into it right off the bat to ensure that it is up to par and won't "blow up" like some of the M96 engine powered cars did. and still do.   There was nothing wrong with the car when i bought it - it was beautiful  - but I wanted to make sure everything was in place to have a very well performing and reliable car.   And that it is.   My wife and I take the car from central CT to Maine. Cape Cod. upstate NY. etc.   It is a lot of fun and runs excellent.   The exhaust is very sporty and may take some getting used to if the buyer hasn't been a sports car person before.   I'm not a noise guy by any means. but I upgraded the exhaust to make the car sound as refined and performance driven as it was meant to be.   It sounds great. and not obnoxious or coarse.

The cars features. specs. etc. can be googled. so I will not get into that.   Some of the work that I had Musante Motorsports (specialty Porsche shop in South Windsor CT) do on the car is:   IMS bearing. new clutch. water pump. ignition. mass air flow sensor. Fab Speed stainless dual exhaust. scan all codes with Porsche specialty computer. program and cut second key. etc. etc.   I have the service records and they can be verified through Musante.   If you don't know what an IMS bearing is. stop Porsche shopping now and read up. it is very expensive to replace as a preventative measure. and can ruin your engine if you don't address it and it fails.   Nothing is more expensive than a cheap Porsche.   You get what pay for. and purchase price is only part of the overall deal to consider when shopping for these cars.   This car is reliable. has owners manuals. great stating. running. driving. NO LEAKS.   Does not need anything that I can think of.

Negatives: had intermittent small evap leak that caused slight rough idle. Haven't seen this issue in long time. might have been eliminated last time in the shop.   Carpet is a little faded near rear window / high sun areas; not bad. certainly not worth replacing in my opinion. Has a silly pop up screen replacement radio (but can run navigation w/ subscription apparently. has phone blue tooth. older iphone /ipad hookup) that I haven't quite figured out.   No cup holders. but that's just how these cars were made.

Clean title in hand.
