I am reluctantly selling my treasured 1979 Rover SD1 series 1 3500 manual. This is purely because (as I mention for the listing of my Yamaha FJR1300 also seen in the photos) I have recently expanded my business and need to focus my time and finances on that now.

I looked for this car for some time. it has a genuine low mileage with history. a mint interior including the original Unipart radio/cassette. mechanically faultless and very presentable and original throughout.  Obviously over 34 years the car had some remedial repairs carried out and some of this is now visable on close inspection. Therefore if you want the car to be concourse you may want to attend to this areas or just drive and enjoy as it is. This is purely because I am very fussy - evidenced perhaps by my replacing the rear bumper with a new old stock item. purely because I saw one and the original had a few minor dings! The optional alloy wheels (with matching spare) have at some point been refurbished. with the main part of the wheel gunmetal grey just leaving the bright silver polished rims. which in my opinion has improved them over the original silver painted alloys.  

It has been serviced in the last 600 miles. with fresh oil. new oil filter. air filters. fuel filter. plugs. leads and a distributor cap. It has had a new headlining recently fitted to a very high standard and has also had a new fuel tank. fuel pump & sender unit. The car drives like new and all the controls and gearbox are still nice and tight as you would expect for a 46K mile car.

Viewing is recommended and welcomed so you can see exactly what you are getting.

The Rover will come with a new MOT before sale. and can be taxed at the buyers request/expense.

I have a lot of history/receipts/invoices etc including the original tax disc holder and the original bill of sale. amongst other things also the original book pack etc from new.

I also have some spares which will be sold separately if the buyer is interested.
