1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door Convertible Barn Find Convertible Original Powerglide Restored Small Block V8 Stock Two-tone Tri-Five

This car was last registered in 1997. It was stored on jack stands for most if not all of the next 20 years. The car was built in Oakland CA and sold new in Northern California. It has always been well taken care of and garaged. It still retains it's California Black Plates.

The owner of the car (he bought it in 1985) recently passed away and I am selling some of his collection for the family.

We removed the car from storage. carefully woke it up. serviced and replaced:
All 4 wheel cylinders. master cylinder. front brake shoes and all 3 rubber brake hosesInstalled a new fuel tank. fuel pump. and rebuilt the carburetorOiled the cylinders for a week prior to start-up. primed engine with fresh oilInstalled a new water pump prior to start-up and new plugsReplaced the heater core and valve along with all coolant hosesReplaced the convertible top pump. cylinders and hoses with newReplaced all wiring harnesses with new exact reproductions. Then the car was very carefully and professionally cleaned. detailed and polished.
This car is a never rusted well loved 1955. It was repainted and the interior redone like original prior to the purchase in 1985. The paint is still very nice as is the interior and top. The underside of this car was never undercoated (typical of Oakland CA assembly plant). The underside shows that the car has never needed or had any rust repair or floor pan. rocker box. trunk floor. braces or tail pan replacement.

It is just like it left the Chevy dealer in1955.

All of the body fits and lines are very nice. the doors click shut. the trunk and hood fits are very nice. The original trunk mat is still in place (it is a 1955 early production style mat). All gauges work as do all lights. The top goes up and down properly. The car runs and drives as good as it looks.

If you want a virgin 1955 Chevrolet Convertible that was not pieced together but has the feel it did when new then this is your car. We did all the work necessary so that you can just enjoy the car this summer.
