Up for auction is my '69 Corvette Convertible.   It is an air/power steering car. It was purchased new here in Augusta. GA by a doctor.   His family traded the car in 1979.   I bought the car from the second owner. who repainted the car. bought new tires/wheels (Corvette spokes) and purchased a new top in 1984. In December. 1984 the original motor failed about 100 miles after the new paint/wheels/tires. The tires were manufactured in 10/82 and 10/84 and still have the whiskers on them.   Yes. the "new" 30-something year old tires only have about 100 miles on them.   In the Spring of '85. the second owner's son was born. and the car has been sitting ever since.

The original heads and motor can be rebuilt. but the intake and some of the other parts were lost or given away over the years.   The paint is still pretty nice. as is the interior.   The original AM radio is gone.   There is NO RUST on or under the car. The fiberglass at the bottom of the battery box will need to be repaired. second owner left the battery in all those years. an easy fix.   No rips or tears in seats or carpet.   Glass is decent. The body's fiberglass is pretty much perfect on this no-hit car.   The wheels have some light pitting. but shined up very nice.   The front bumper was also replaced in 1984. The back one is original.

Please. serious bidders only.   You can literally rebuild the motor. buy a few engine components. go through the brakes (4 wheel disc) and have a nice driver!  Any questions. call Andy at (706) 836-4410.

Have had several questions about the car.   I'm the third owner.   The car is a four speed. with original transmission.   The exhaust is original and could probably be used.   The spare tire is the original bias ply from the factory.   The motor is the original 350.   The build sheet (tank sheet is probably still in the car. as the second owner didn't look for it. and the original owner would've cared less about it).   The conv. top frame is in great shape. but the top is not installed.   The date on the receipt for the "new" top is 6/7/84.   The interior does not need a thing except for a radio.   There are a few of the plastic dash trim pieces that are off the car. but I have them.

The paint has some scratches. but nothing serious. No gouges. or serious paint failure. No cracks under paint like many older repaints on these cars.   Paint looks better than you'd expect for a car that's been sitting for 33 1/2 years in a garage with all kinds of crap stored in/on the car. (At least there were thick blankets on the car)
