1986 MERCEDES-BENZ 560SL

Now available is this lovely 1986 560SL.  This car was the flagship of the Mercedes R107 body style that ran 1971 - 1989.  The 560SL is a wonderful balance of technology. refinement. and power.  The values of these cars are on the rise and for good reason.  Now as classics. they are easy to drive and reliable machines and make for a great daily driver or weekend cruiser.  This particular 560SL is in great cosmetic and mechanical condition with low miles and two tops.  Please be sure to see all 80 high resolution pictures included below.

Mechanically. this 560SL is excellent.  The large displacement 5. 6L V8 equipped with Bosch fuel injection starts right up with no hesitation or drama.  It runs strong and smooth and leaves no drips on the garage floor after being parked.  The impressive engine torque makes this car accelerate surprisingly quickly and feel very light on its feet.  The automatic transmission shifts strong and smooth and confidently transfers the power to the rear wheels.  The air conditioning is frigid cold and the tires and brakes are in great shape.  This car rides. drives. and handles nice and tight with no clunks or rattles.  It is turn-key and ready to enjoy.

Cosmetically. this car is very nice for being 31 years old and original.  The body is free of any dings or dents or scratches that I could find.  The chrome shines brightly. and the aluminum wheels are free of pitting or curb rash.  The paint appears all original and there is no rust on the body or undercarriage.  The third brake ligh does have a crack in the housing but it doesn't affect operation.

The interior is original and in very good condition.  There is some light wear on the seats and armrest to be expected with a car of this vintage.  The rest of the interior is surprisingly clean and close to perfect.  The dashboard. instruments. and carpeting are all in great shape.  All of the power options are working properly including the original radio and power antenna.  This car is equipped with the soft top and hard top and there are detailed photos of both below.
