Regretfully. I am selling my exceptional 1970 Triumph GT6+. I wish I could keep her. as the value is only going to go up over the years as only just over 7300 were built for this model year and very few of that number remain. But with the addition of my wife's new vehicle. I have run out of space in the garage. I bought this as a fun car to drive around with as I was in the process of restoring other cars and motorcycles and needed something to enjoy scenic weekend drives in the country. This car has proven to fit the bill. nd was a joy to drive - probably my best handling British sports car I've owned. When I got her. I needed to do several things to make her reliable. so aside from the usual tuneup tasks being done (all fluids changed. plugs. filters. timing. etc. ). the carbs were redone. & synchronized. nbsp;and new spark plug wires. distributor cap & rotor. coil.  thermostat (along with radiator flush). rear brake wheel cylinders. brake lines. seat belts and some hoses were added. This has to be the most mechanically friendly car ever made. as you just lift the bonnet. sit on the wheel. and tinker away! The original wheels and tires were on the car. so they were replaced with VTO minilites and General Altimax tires. nbsp;and she handles fantastic on nice twisty roads. The 4 speed tranny shifts smooth through all gears both up and down. and she cruises the highway at 70 turning a casual 3300 rpms. As you can see from the photos. the engine is in pristine condition. One thing about all my vehicles - I keep them immaculate and never abuse them. I will leave a drop or two of tranny fluid if left to sit for awhile. but not enough to warrant any attention. Once started and warmed up (like a good majority of Brit cars. they're a bit cold blooded by nature. and if she's been sitting for a week or two.  you may have to turn her over two or three times to wake her up) she purrs without missing a beat and has great acceleration. The body had been repainted some years ago and while not perfect is quite acceptable for a well above average driver. There are a couple of small bubbles in the paint (rt rear wheel lip and desk) and a spot of touchup on the hood (bonnet) that isn't the exact match. but I believe that is from the quality of the paint job as there are no rust issues. and being white in color and with how I detail my vehicles to an extreme. most people think it was recently painted. The interior is in very nice. almost new condition with the only flaws being a small wear through on the left side of the drivers seat fron the seat belt rubbing (see photo). There is also about a 1/4" gap on the dash pad where it meets the A pillar. but the dash is in very good condition with no cracking otherwise. There is some pitting to the windshield. but no more than a car of this age would normally have. and I do have a new windshield (one of these days when I actually had some free time I was going to change it) that will go with the car to the new owner. along with ther new extras that I always keep in stock. All instruments work with the exception of the speedo. which most likely needs a new cable. or may just need to have the connection on the back of the speedo tightened as they're know to become loose. The suspension rides as a real sports car should and handles the road beautifully. and the exhaust has a nice throaty tone without being loudly obnoxious. This car. in my estimation. is a great way to get the British sports car experience without spending a ridiculous amount of money. I need the garage space in the very near future. so as unfortunate as it is that I'll be taking a hit on the car. the good news for you the buyer is that the reserve is set lower than the actual value of the car. I have only seen one GT6+ in better condition. and that was at a recent cocours event at Road America. They don't come up very often. and it's extremely rare when one as nice as this one does. I welcome any inspections. and any questions you may have about her. please feel free to email me or contact me at 651-338-3939. and I'll get back with you as soon as possible. A $500. 00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hrs after the aution end. and that can be paid via paypal. The remaining balance is to be paid within seven days post auction via bank check. cash. or wire transfer. Any bidders with zero feedback should contact me before bidding. The car is sold as is with no warranty. Shipping expenses and scheduling are the responsibility of the buyer. but I will assist with the loading of the vehicle and ensure that I am available for pickup. Makes me sad to list her. but someone will get to enjoy a very nice car that's a blast to drive. Good luck to all!
