For sale is a 1996 Chevrolet s-10 low rider pickup. It's 4. 3 liter v6 2WD auto A lot to say about this truck!  I bought this truck on March 3. 2006 and have owned it for over 10 years. The truck originally came from Texas. So it is rust free. I have a copy of a Texas title to prove it. It has 110. 00 miles on the odometer when I got it. I do NOT drive this truck during the winter. never have never will.   I drove it the first 2 years and did regular basic maintance to the truck while I was going to school. I was working for Cadillac at the time which is when most of this work took place. I'm now currently a ASE General motors' technician for Buick GMC dealer in Milwaukee. In 2008 I got bit by the customization bug and started to customize it.

I started body work. Being it came from Texas everything is solid metal. Not a bucket of bondo. The cab corners are solid metal. I shaved antenna. rear roll pan. license plate mod into tailgate “50 state legal lights up”. and reverse tailgate gate handle shaved mod.   Smooth wiper cowl. EURO mirrors. front lower air dam. and side extreme ground effect package. Then the Big one the GT Factory LSD “Lambo style door” 90 degree vertical door kit.   And not one the cheap kits you buy off of eBay. Because I wanted it done and done right. I did NOT install it. I've been a GM Mechanic for a long time and I know when something was over my head. Good thing I work for a dealership that has a body shop. They Installed and welded the hinges big time. They will NOT come off. It's a lot of work to install these. Pictures of the welds by request. NEW front and rear clear lights. ss badge. After about a year and half and all the body work was done. The Truck got a brand paint job. It is a factory color by GM called radar blue.

As far as the mechanics of the truck goes. I lowered the truck with a belltech lowering kit.   A 4in Drop. I went with a kit that included front lower control arms and rear block only. New nitro Drop shocks front and rear. That's it. NO BAGS. The reason for new front A arms is because you can retain the factory original alignment specifications. Actually the same 20 inch wheels that are on it now didn't fit. They rubbed so I had to go down a series of tire to make them fit. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza 245/40/R20. The most recent alignment was performed on 5/24/16. Because I knew I was going to put it for sale this year. The tires have good tread but are older tires put on about 3 years ago. I left the engine stock. Because I spent so much money and time into the body work. I just drove it to car shows and around town show it off.

Then in July of 2011 something bad happen inside my engine. There was something lower end noise that was not happy. Bearing spun. New GM long block engine installed 7/22/11 current mileage on truck at the time of engine is 151. 48 documented. If you're doing your own engine now is a go time to replace stuff that is hard to do. New motor mounts. flywheel. hoses. belt. water pump. p/s pump that I had to warranty because it started leaking. radiator. cap. rotor. plugs. wires. fuel injectors. exhaust gaskets. a lot of stuff people don't think about. But yes OMG more money…. my final bill in just parts was over 3k. It makes me sick just typing this. I'm so upside down in this truck. I have receipts and work orders for ALL of this.

After this engine I stopped putting money into this for a while. I was literally going broke. I drove it here the there. Won a couple car shows nothing major. Had a Linex bed liner sprayed in the truck. New a/c compressor sometime shortly after. Tires and a heater core in 2013. then I had a wheel bearing go out in 2014. So. New front wheel bearings inner and outer bearing. Might as well do new front brakes because they needed it.   All GM brakes nothing aftermarket. So that was done.

Then this year I decided I was going to get this truck ready for sale. 2013 I put 127 miles on it. 2014 I put a thousand miles on it. Last year not even one tank of gas. I just don't drive it any more. I have 3 vehicals and I work on cars for a living. I have lost interest in this truck and cars in general. Maybe it's because of the time and money into it. Now it just sits. So 2016 now I did the rear brakes because I couldn't remember when I had them off last. Found a wheel cylinder leaking replace new rear wheel cylinders. shoes. drums. adjusters. springs. Again all GM brakes. Makes the truck stop on a dime now. Should of done that years ago. Put a new GM delco battery in this spring. A cracked developed in my windshield some time driving it in 2015. So. I replaced that recently on 8/23/2016. A new center cap for one of my wheels came in because the other one I had a feeling was going to come off. People are going to ask about the stereo. It's old as hell. I bet there is better stuff now. It's a 10” kicker solarbaric with a alpine amp. and jvc cd player. Nothing special. But it goes with the truck. I have done a lot of work to the truck this year and throughout the life of the truck. It's time to let it go to someone that is going to drive it and appreciate it. And take it to the next level. I m a little bit older now and just lost its luster to me after so much time and energy. But it's a nice truck someone is going to like this truck. If your looking for a beater for $1. 00 on craigslist you can find them all day long. But if you want a one of kind truck this is it.   Truck runs drive and shifts good. Ice cold A/C . bumpy ride being a low rider but fun. People like to look at it. love the doors. No lights on in the dash. No check engine light. no abs. airbag. will pass emissions. Get in and go. Truck is sold as is. Recommend trailer it if you can or drive it home. Any questions for me please call me at 262-501-4248. I hope I answered some of them for you. Thank you jeremy
