1965 Ford Mustang

1965 2 Door Hardtop Mustang Coupe.  

This desirable early model Pony is a timeless original that was very well maintained in Washington state until 2008. For those of you old enough to remember the early Mustangs. this car is in fabulous shape.   Drive through town and watch the heads turn.   Strangers strike up conversations about the car and their memories of early Mustangs.  

This car has been a restoration project for a father and son before us. and my son and I have continued the process.   The car originally came with the 6 cyclider. but the smaller engine has been replaced with a 289 V8. The automatic transmission was also updated so the linkages work together beautifully.  

All gauges. lights and dials have been replaced or restored.  Show quality black interior with center console.  

The doors close nice and flush. and body lines look fantastic.   The engine bay is beautiful. and has been detailed and complemented with chrome.

Some of the work that has been done on this car includes:

Rebuild v8 289 4 barrel with 50. 00 miles. Rebuild transmission.   New chromed deep transmission pan.   Additional chrome under the hood (see picture).   Replaced thermostat. U-joint. ball joints (front and back) and seals. New plugs. value cover. fuel hose and carburetor mount.   Replaced rear axle seals and bearings. clean out differential housing. replaced rear differential fluids. replace rear brake shoes. replaced rear pinion seal.

 Crager wheels. mag lug set. with Goodrich Radial T/A (in white lettering) tires (215 60R 15).

Turn the key. and the 289 V8 fires up.   It sounds great. and boy does it demand people pay attention. This mustang has never spent a night out in the elements.   The paint looks amazing and is high gloss with acrylic enamel.   Interior is immaculate.   Leather seats. dash and carpeting are show quality.   All other interior components are original including center console. Floor shift and a full dual exhaust system.  

New windshield and front seals.   Original trunk base covering included.

The chrome trim is all in great condition from the bumpers to the mirrors.  

Car came from Washington state. where it was titled until 2008.   Has been stored inside since then.

Car drives great. You'll love the sound of power.

This Mustang is an original AC car. All the AC parts are included but not connected.
