I've owned and maintained this vehicle for more than 9 years. I've taken it on trips spanning different cities in Pa. New York and Virginia. It's been to DC. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. It's been my second vehicle. licenced inspected and generally garage kept since I bought it. I've kept up with the general maintenance on this Van. In the past 2 years I've changed the plugs. wires. Fuel filter. Oxygen sensor. put on new front calipers and break pads (the rear pads have less than 10. 00 miles) and it's been about 800 miles since the last oil and filter change. This Van runs and drives great. The tires are almost new (as can be seen in the pics) They are Nexen and are one of the top rated tires for Vanagons. The tent top is currently removed because I was going to have it repaired but I could not find a good enough material to make a replacement panel to match the old one. I have installed the relay kit and cables for a second battery which goes behind the driver's seat. I also have purchased the extend a stay propane kit which I never hooked up. The factory propane tank will most likely need to be replaced because the inspection tag is long out of date and I could not find a place that would fill it. I am including an extra fill valve as well because I don't believe the old one is any good. I am including a second fold out table with the factory mount (not seen in pics) which attaches behind the driver's seat. The undersides on this van are virtually rust free. It still has the factory paint on the body (with a few touch ups from about 6 years ago) The white paint is chalky but the satin black paint on the bottom and around the windows is in better condition. Now the bad news: In the past month. my beloved Vanagon has developed a starting condition. Sometimes it will start on the first crank. sometimes it takes about 4 tries and a little playing with the gas and sometimes the starter cranks and cranks and it will not fire at all. When this happens. I spray 2 shots of either down the intake and it usually works but if it stalls. it either starts right back up or I have to spray it again. I always can get it going and am confident that I will not be stranded but this is definitely a problem that I would not want to let linger. The engine does have a small oil leak that brings down the oil level enough that it has to be checked about once every hundred miles. This vehicle is by no means perfect but it's been well taken care of and is in pretty much as original condition as you will find I took a video today of me starting and driving this vehicle. I will try to post a link here as soon as I figure out how to do it.

As I've stated. this van runs great once it's started.  Here's the link to the video I made yesterday showing the van being started and driven:

Through some research. I've found a few possibilities of the difficult starting issues. it may be the mass air flow sensor. it may be a ground wire or it's possible that it's something called the temp sensor II which is located on something called a cold start valve.  This may be an easy fix for someone who knows VW's better than I do.  I am not selling it because of the starting issue. the only reason I am selling my Westfalia is because I realize that I barely put any miles on it in the past 2 years and I need my garage space to start working on my other classic cars.  I've had some local people interested in buying this vehicle for a long time. it's just a matter of getting an offer that I am comfortable with because I really love this Van and am having a hard time letting it go.  Some other things to note is that I have the full set of front and side window snap on privacy curtains and all of the hardware and screws needed to reinstall the tent top.  I bought a new water pump for the sink several years ago and it's barely used.
