1986 GMC Sierra 1500 Sierra Classic 1500

You are looking at a frame on restored 1986 GMC Sierra Classic K1500 4x4 shortbed.   This was truck was restored to be a keeper.   No expense spared when this was put together.   I am very particular about my trucks and this one is a great example of a quality restoration.   There are MANY high dollar NOS parts on this truck.   Very few aftermarket parts were used when restoring this truck. always looked for NOS. AC Delco or GM parts.
BODY:The body is 100% rust free and original. painted in base coat clear coat paint in the original code 72 Apple Red paint.   New GM door weather stripping. new GM window felts. new GM NOS wheel well trim. OE style body side molding. NOS GMC grille. NOS headlight doors. cleaned and detailed emblems. NOS GM front and rear glass gaskets. NOS GM chrome glass lock strip trim. new light lenses. NOS GM rear cab molding. NOS GM rear sport bumper with the correct truck brackets.   The exterior is as factory original as I could get.
INTERIOR:The interior was restored to near original except for the stereo and the steering wheel.   Original GM seat in excellent condition but could use recovered. OEM style carpet kit. GMC floor mats. NOS GM door pull straps and covers. NOS GM arm rest pads. NOS GM dash pad. nbsp; NOS GM lock and window switches. NOS GM power window motors and regulators. New door panel. dash bezel and dash trim. NOS GM sierra classic dash emblem. newer style GMC leather wrapped steering wheel. Kenwood stereo with speakers in original places.
DRIVETRAIN:Engine is a GM goodwrench 350 crate engine. rebuilt quadrajet carburetor on Edelbrock performer intake manifold. New OEM exhaust manifolds. new GM HEI distributor. new GM alternator. starter and A/C compressor.   Transmission is the original TH700R4 rebuilt and shifts perfect.   NP208 transfer case was re-sealed and painted.   3" single dynomax exhaust with GMC embossed stainless exhaust tip.
SUSPENSION:New Tuff Country 4" ez-ride suspension lift. nbsp;Bilstien monotube shocks. stainless steel braided brake lines. front and rear axles are from a 1986 GMC 3/4 ton.   Axles were rebuilt and re-sealed when installed. The gear ratio is 4:10 so with the 305's and 700R4 it runs down the freeway perfectly. Still fits inside 7ft tall garage door opening.
Tires and Wheels:Installed a new set of 17x9 XD wheels on 305/70r17 (34X12. 50) Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.
If you want the truck 100% stock you would just need to swap the lift and axles out. 100% bolt on stuff. no alterations were made to the chassis.
The truck has 500 miles since total restoration.   It has never been in the rain and always stored indoors after restoration.   I will probably kick myself for selling this truck considering how much work was put into it and the fact that a lot of the original parts you can't find or afford to buy anymore.
