The Royce Bellini Collection of Pompano Beach is pleased to offer for sale this very special 1953 Kaiser Manhattan.
According to the previous owner and corresponding records. this car has had only two owners since new. It was sold new in Dallas. Texas and brought to Arizona in 1956 where it remained for 50+ years.
Needless to say. this is a rust free. solid example.
It has all the original body panels which are straight and well fit. The undercarriage has all the original floorboards and body mounts.
It was re-sprayed its original color combination of jade metallic green with a white roof. The re-spray is approximately 15 years old and has some minor chips and nicks but shows very well. The chrome and stainless are show quality.
Inside you will find the iconic Manhattan interior with "bamboo" dash. The interior is very clean and well preserved.
Under the hood is the Kaiser Supersonic 226 c. i. flathead six cylinder engine. It is mated to a three speed manual transmission with overdrive. The engine was rebuilt in 2003 and was converted to 12 volt.
The odometer reads 10. xx and is believed to be the mileage since the engine rebuild. The correct mileage since new is unknown.
The Manhattan was designed by Howard "Dutch" Darrin and is considered by many collectors to be among the most beautiful automobiles of the era.
These cars are very rare and to find one in this condition is even more difficult.
The antenna and one wiper blade are missing in the photos but have since been replaced.
