Hi. Welcome to my auction for my beloved 1973 Triumph GT6 MK III with overdrive. This beautiful car has been in my family for around 30 years. The car has had 3 owners. one of which is I and one of the others being my dad.  The car was taken off the road in 1991 and it has been dry stored in a garage. As I am an enthusiast for these type of cars I have been lovingly trying to restore it on and off. I have finally come to the conclusion that I have neither the time of the expertise to do the car any justice and would like it to go to someone who does.

The car had a decent re-spray around 4 years ago in its original colour (mimosa yellow). The car has only done 50. 00 genuine miles. It has its original engine (I'll have to check this with the log to make sure – can't at the mo as it is at my parents house) the engine had a bottom end refurb at around 40. 00 miles i. e. crank shaft. big ends. new pistons rings and new bearings – it also had a new timing chain and head de-carbonized. The engine can be seen running. The gearbox was reconditioned also at 40. 00 miles and at the same time had a new clutch and plate. At present the gearbox is working. but I don't know if the overdrive is working. The headlining is in good condition with some staining. All the instruments are in good working order i. e. rev counter. Speedo and gauges. The outer and inner sills are in good condition. The sub frame is in good condition with some minor surface rust.  I have recently put a new water pump on and some new hoses. It also has had a new battery fitted. The Master clutch cylinder has recently been reconditioned. The car is complete (minus carpet) and some items need reassembling.

The floor had developed rust on the driver's side. I have already stripped and prepared this area for repair. I have also purchased the replacement full driver's side floor panel (140 pound from Rimmer Bros) which will be included with the car. On the passenger side the floor has a few small holes - nothing major. I have recently noticed that the core plug in the cylinder head has a leak; I have been advised that it's an easy fix. The cars will need new carpet. I would like to point out that The two rear wheel are arches had previously had surface rust however since the car was re-sprayed about 4 years ago The rust is not visible and has not return. However if it was a car that I would own and drive  I would probably have the rear arches done in maybe 4 or five years. I regret to mention that there are a couple of small paint chips on the car from where it has been stored in my dad's garage.

I would like to finish by saying that this car is not a nut and bolt restoration and please do not bid on it expecting it to be so. In my opinion this car is in a reasonable condition. has a decent paint job and has a working engine and gearbox. I cannot comment on the condition of other parts like the brakes etc as I haven't driven the car (in the last 20 years) or inspect them recently. I am not a professional and restoring cars is just a hobby for me. I have been truthful and honest with its pros and cons and feel this would be a great purchase for any professional or serious enthusiast and hope who ever she ends up with brings many years of happiness as she has brought to my family.

If you have any further questions about the car feel free to ask. I also have loads more pictures. just send me your email and I will send them over. The car can be viewed at any time from the Tuesday 30th April. The car is located in the London. Kingsbury NW9 area. Please do not bid if you are unsure and if you have less the 10 feedback please message me before bidding. I will require 100 pound via pay pal and the balance in either cash or bank transfer. Wining bidder should pick up vehicle within a week.

No tire kickers welcome - only serious bidders

Hi. forgot to mention that the car is sold as seen - the ad says that returns are accepted. this is not the case!!!!! (for some reason when uploading the add it wouldn't let me change the returns policy)Also the car has no MOT and wining bidder will have to collect the car with a trailer.
