This Mini was bought two years ago and has been restored by my son and myself with the help of some very helpful neighbours who rebuild Mini's and restore them on a regular basis. The car was a non-runner and had been standing for several years without turning a wheel.

Over the period of about a year this car has had bucket loads of money spent on it including:

New rear sub-frame
New brakes all around
Suspension bushes
Brake pipes
Ball-joints
Shocks
Panels
Chrome bumpers
Windscreen
Carpets
Cobra high backed buckets seats
Headlining
Stainless Steel Twin Exhaust
Professional Superb Metallic British Racing Green Paint with Pearlescent (Cream) White roof

Most parts bought direct from Somerford Mini Specialists. Wiltshire and we have most of the receipts.

This Mini was bought as a project by my son to learn how a car is built and how it runs. The bonus of the car is that the Classic Car status means that the insurance premiums are very low. It now turns heads wherever it goes. the noise from the twin exhausts is just fabulous.   As you can see. this Mini has been tastefully restored and is not like a boy-racer's bodge job.

The 1000cc engine is basically untouched. if my son were to keep it then a larger and faster engine would have been the next on the list. There is no rust and would be a great car for the right person. Unfortunately he needs something a little bigger to travel up and down the motorway on a regular basis. so his pride and joy must go!!
