This is a rare and beautiful 1974 GTV 2000 with twin Webers and no visible corrosion. I bought the car in the spring of 2014 and have all maintenance records since I bought it. and many from before. I believe I am the 3rd or 4rth owner. The car was originally registered in Canada. While there. the paint was changed from original silver to current cobalt blue. It's a high quality paint job. There's a small scratch on the rear bumper.  The interior was probably replaced at some point as it is leather and looks like new. All gauges are clean and functional. The dash has two cracks. as usual in these cars. It runs beautifully. and like all Alfa's. puts a smile on your face. The engine starts easily and pulls well through all the gears. It shifts like a knife through butter. with perfect synchros and no grinding at all. even in 2nd gear. I have 5 other cars. so I've put fewer than 1. 00 miles on the Alfa since I bought it. never in rain or snow.

This is one of the few 1970 Alfa's with what I believe is factory-installed A/C. I have never used it. blower and defroster work fine. it probably just needs charging.

Recent maintenance includes rebuilt transmission. (just before I bought it). Since I bought it. it's had installation of new choke cable. rewiring of fuse box and lights. major tune up with timing. new valve shims. new distributor pick up. complete rebuild of carbs. new carb gaskets and mountings. replaced all gaskets. fuel lines. filters. new front strut bushings. steering box adjusted. new front calipers and pads. new master cylinder. oil and filter. of course. and more. All work was done by DiFatta Bros. in Baltimore. the foremost East Coast Alfa shop for the last 40 years.

Beautiful Simmons wheels. look like Cromodoro's. are near perfect. except for some slight curb rash. and one missing center cap. Decent sound system with new speakers. modern radio with Blue Tooth phone hook up. discreetly hidden in glove box.

I will sell the car with many spare parts including a used gearbox. new exhaust system. windshield and rear side windows which appear new. old dash. dash cap (not used). and new “Alfa Romeo” embroidered floor mats.

Last week I brought the car to the Baltimore Alfa Dealer for a pre-sale inspection including the undercarriage. The service chief pointed out to me that the car had been undercoated. probably early in its life. which gave great protection. and it has virtually no rust. except for a couple of very superficial spots where the undercoat has worn off. such as on the gas tank. He also noted that the brake lines. fuel lines and exhaust had been replaced. It has an oil pan guard. The rocker panels are solid and appear rust-free. possibly replaced. or reflecting the fact that until I bought it this Alfa had always been in Canada where the roads are not salted.

I am only aware of two minor problems:  As noted. there are two thin cracks in the dash cap. One of the wheel center caps is missing.

Otherwise. as far as I and the Alfa service manager can determine. the car is superb mechanically and cosmetically. Alfa's of this vintage with A/C. carbs. and no rust are very rare and hard to find unless you pay for one which has had a body off restoration.

I have described the car to the best of my knowledge. It is 43 years old. and. as with any 43-year-old vehicle. no warranties can be given and none are implied. The car is garaged in Baltimore. Any prospective buyer is encouraged to contact me and make an appointment to see it. drive it. or have a pre-purchase inspection (at your expense. ) Shipping would be at the buyer's expense. but I would be happy to help with shipping arrangements. Deposit may be through PayPal. but Payment must be in cash or cashier's check.

The car has always been garaged. I love the car. The only reason I'm selling it is because I am running out of garage space. with another Alfa. a Ferrari. a Maserati. and two daily drivers.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
