2012 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

If you are viewing my listing. you may know some of the history of these cars. For those that don't. this Callaway Corvette represents a special milestone that celebrates an already special marque.

In 1986. with their own efforts to boost the Corvette into a true world-class sports car at a crossroads. Corvette Chief Engineer Dave McLellan approached Reeves Callaway with a proposition. Chevrolet had obtained one of the Callaway Alpha Romeo GTV-6 cars. and were mightily impressed with the craftsmanship and performance of the turbo system that Callaway engineered for that car. Could they do the same for the Corvette?

And thus began a unique relationship between General Motors and Callaway Cars that lives to this day. That initial meeting resulted in the 1986 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette. For the first and only time in its history. GM and Chevrolet partnered with an outside company to provide a high performance engine option for one of their cars that could be ordered from any Chevrolet dealer. Known as RPO B2K. the Callaway Corvette was a Regular Production Option from 1986 through 1991 that resulted in just over 500 cars being built. The effort also produced some amazing special cars as well. including the Sledgehammer. the Speedster. and more.  

Fast forward to 2012. For 25 years. Callaway has continued to produce some of the fastest and most desirable Corvettes ever made – The SuperNatural series. the C12. and many. many more. It's been a great run. and what better way to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of that first B2K Twin Turbo Corvette. than to partner with Chevrolet once again to revive the B2K RPO code for a very. very special car.

That's right. Just like its predecessor. this is no mere ‘tuner car'. This is factory option 2012 B2K Corvette. Photos of the window stickers and build sheets are included in the listing for verification.

For this special anniversary. a run of only 25 cars were built. Based on the 2012 Corvette Grand Sport model. the wizards at Callaway worked their magic to elevate the performance. handling. and appearance of the car into something truly unique. Each car was specially prepared on the Bowling Green assembly line. then shipped to Callaway Cars for final assembly.

The car on offer here is #2 in the series. It remains 100% stock. as delivered to the original owner from Callaway Cars. The car is flawless inside and out. with just 7500 miles on the odometer. I am the original and only owner of the car. The sale includes all documentation (including Monroney stickers. build sheets. assembly line tags. and a book published to document the creation of the car) and a custom car cover.
