This is a really original. straight. well maintained older Jeep Wrangler. It had one female owner until 123K. was traded in at the local Subaru dealer. a friend of mine has owned it for the last 3000 miles. Colorado is hard on Jeeps but this one was treated like a car. adult owned. street driven. never ever any rust. never off road. still has factory jack under the hood. center caps on the wheels etc. I seriously don't think this Jeep ever went off road. maybe a dirt road. but there are no dents or scratches on the skid plate or the bottom of the fuel tank (see photos) It has a 258 4. 2 liter 6 cylinder engine. 5 speed trans. power steering. very good tires/spare. toasty heater. nbsp;hard top etc. If you want a clean old survivor. a Jeep like what you had back in the day. this one is hard to beat. a really nice old rig but not so nice that you would be afraid to drive it. this Jeep will make someone very happy.

Email with questions. I'll give you blunt. candid answers. am happy to photograph anything you would like to see closer. I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime without warning as this Jeep is for sale locally. you are welcome to call and make me an offer.

I am located in Durango Colorado. I will consider helping with delivery within 100 miles for . 85 a mile after the Jeep is paid for in full.

The Good Stuff:

2 pumps on the peddle and it always starts right up. runs great. smooth. very strong engine even up here at 8200 ft altitude. no smoke. all the gauges work. gets good mileage. drives. steers. shifts. handles and stops excellent in every way for an old Jeep.

I have resealed the valve cover. gone through the brakes. replaced a motor mount. repaired the oil gauge. new plugs. new air cleaner. new wiper blades. new oil change. new fly wheel/ring gear. new starter. new radiator. new speed sensor etc. nbsp;has been my daily driver and has been 100% reliable. I have a stack of receipts from original owner showing lots of oil changes. tune ups. replaced parking brake. starter. shifter plate. heater core. coolant. rebuilt carb. dist cap. rotor. radiator. clutch. radiator hoses. alternator and more over the last 27 years. This is a very nice. tight. strong running old Jeep. everything works as it should. the more you drive it. the more you appreciate how well the pervious owners took care of it.

The Not So Good Stuff:

This Jeep is almost 30 years old. so there is some negative stuff to be expected. there are some dents/scratches on face of the front fenders (see photos) there are chips-scratches-nicks-dings-etc. There is some minor damage to the edge of the rear door (see photos) The fan blower doesn't always shut off. it likes to stay on low. is a mechanical linkage and probably needs to be lubed. There is a hole in the bottom of the plastic center console. The rear hatch will need some work as the inner and outer pieces that cover the latch mechanism are separating (see photo) At some point someone sanded and painted the roof. they scratched the edge of the glass in places (see photos) will need to be polished out or simply ignored. The seats appear to have been covered from day one. the vinyl upholstery under the heavy cordura seat covers is shiny black. not torn. nbsp;but the threads in the seams on the bottom cushions are separating from age. That's about all I can think of. a pretty short list for a 4x4 rig this old.

Shipping: I have shipped industrial fleet trucks all over the world. have connections in the auto transport industry and have the ability to arrange wholesale shipping anywhere in the USA but the cost is entirely yours.
