Beautiful. fully restored 1961 Bugeye is reluctantly up for sale due to new home purchase. Car was subject to a 2 year very comprehensive restoration that was completed in 2010 and has been driven only on dry days and stored in climate controlled area during winters. This is the second Bugeye I have restored (I used to work at a restoration shop in the Hamptons) and the same level of care and detail was put into this car as cars worth 10 times as much. just started work on Bugeye number 3 seen in background of photos (hardtop stays with car 3 as I'm planning on a Sebring replica). Driving this jem always brings a smile to the driver and all who see it. it was recently shown at the Ault Park Concours here in Cincinnati and the feedback was amazing. I will be very sad to see it go. It does have the original 850cc 4 cylinder engine which gives this lightweight roadster a surprising turn of speed. a later ribcase transmission is in place (original smooth case is available). I have tried to list most of the work done to the car. pretty much every nut. bolt and part has been either cleaned. painted. polished or plated!  Thousands spent on new parts during the restoration. must be one of the nicest Bugeyes on the road. please e-mail me with any questions you may have. thanks for looking!
