This is a super solid and original 25th anniversary Corvette. The engine starts right up. sounds great and runs extremely well. It has a nice throaty exhaust and the car is in good tune. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts into gear fine and the clutch feels normal. The car needs new tires (nice honeycomb style wheels. with spinners) and the rear tires barely hold air so we only drove it outside of our gate at 5 mph. The brakes work and felt normal. The drivers window goes down and the passenger side does not. The air conditioning is inoperable. The windshield is cracked. The odometer stopped working at 98. 40 so the true miles are unknown. The paint is old and has various imperfections with a lot of patina. There are no major fiberglass cracks. The car is complete with the exception of the urethane front bumper cover. The headlights come up a little. however they will need new headlight actuators which are readily available for $116 on eBay and other websites

The interior still has the very attractive red leather with just the right amount of wear. Great color combination. The carpeting mostly on the passenger side has imperfections. Nice dash and instrumentation.

 

There is no doubt that this car is in need of some TLC  what we have here is a great starter kit for a restoration of fix up a bit and drive/enjoy as-is. The drive-train seems nice and solid with a great running engine.  The undercarriage and engine compartment should clean up nicely.  No rot or rusted thru metal. This is a good original car that has never been hacked or messed with.

Overall this Corvette has good bones with an authentic. untouched and honest look. The car has been sitting for many years and should be completely gone through.  This is a California car that was parked close to the beach so there is some surface rust/discoloration.  We have not tested anything other than we have listed. so what you see is what you get. nothing more. nothing less.
