1979 Porsche 930 for sale
Current customer rating: (206 votes ) based onAccording to the previous owner. it was a RUF conversion. but I unfortunately do not have any paperwork confirming that.
The vehicle has RUF gauges. RUF front and rear disc brakes and RUF steering wheel. Also included. are two rare and expensive aluminum skinned doors which are also believed to be from Ruf BTR as well.
The Engine is a standard 3. 3 I believe with an EFI setup and carrera intake. The motor is currently completely apart and will have to be rebuilt. New Mahle Piston and turbo will come included in the sale. All the original parts are there with the exception of the CIS system. The standard 4 speed 930 trans will also be included.
Also. included is a twin turbo setup that I recently purchased as I a possible option. These items will also be included in the sale:
Two water to air intercoolersTwo earls performance water coolersCentri puppy water pump and reservoirOil Catch PanHaltech Injection fuel managementMSD Ignition Multiple spark discharge part#6200MSD blaster 2Dual Throttle BodiesFuel rail with InjectorsTwo Headers(brand Unknown)Two Garrett Airesearch TurbosWiring HarnessAll brackets. hardware and hoses(New hoses and brackets may be necessary)
I started redoing the interior. I had a new black carpet kit installed. The rest of the car is covered in real black alcantara including the dash and headliner which looks fantastic. The alcantara was purchased from one of the few official alcantara distributors in the country. It was all professionally installed earlier this year by Automotive Upholstery in Tacahoe. NY and cost me $$$. RS Door Panels are included in the sale as well. Please note that the vehicle will only come with a drivers seat which is what was provided to me.
The body is in great condition for its age. It is a non-sunroof hardtop. It seems to originally be an oak green but was painted in hellblau metallic by the previous owner a few years ago. According to the owner. he paid well over 10K for the job. Unfortunately. the aluminum doors as well as the front and rear bumper will have to be painted. He did provide me about a half gallon of the matching paint to complete the project.
As far as rims. its uses huge BBS 345/35ZR15 rims on the rear and 275/35ZR15 in the front. I believe the only other car that used such wide tires was the lambo countach. Will come with a set of blue bbs rims. The yellow set will not be included. but is for sale separately on ebay if interested.
From what I can tell. the only items that I am aware are missing is the passenger seat. the two rear quarter panel glass and the quarter panel fins.
