The Classic Lincoln Continental Mark III 1969 Model - Full Frame On Restoration for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 451 votes
Being offered for sale is a Really Nice example of the Classic Continental Mark III that you can Drive Anywhere.  This is a 1969 model. The car has undergone a Full Frame On Restoration by the previous owner 4 1/2 years ago. Well Over $25. 00 in restoration work. All receipts are included with the car.

Some of the Restoration Work Performed includes: Complete Engine Rebuild (460 cu. in 365 hp). Suspension. Exhaust. Base-Coat-Clear-Coat Paint. Vinyl Top. Interior. Trunk Lining - Carpet. Excellent Chrome Work. Polished Stainless Steel Trim. Air Conditioning System Converted to 134a and it Blows "Ice Cold".

Condition: On a scale of 1-5 with Condition "1" being a no excuse "As New" Show Car. this Mark III is at best a Mid Range "2" Car or an Exceptional number "3" Car. I have been a car guy for 40 plus years and consider myself pretty picky so I do not want to over qualify this car. The Car needs some TLC - Detailing to be a strong number "2" car

Factory Options include: Dual Power Seats. Automatic Light Dimmer. Passenger Side exterior Mirror. AM-8 Track player (remember those). nbsp;Power Antenna. Power Brakes. power steering. Tinted Glass. nbsp;Power Windows. Air Conditioning (Ice Cold). Tilt Steering Column and Cruise Control.

This Mark III is totally dependable and you can drive it anywhere while enjoying that Wonderful Cold Air Conditioning. Since August I have driven it to Auburn. Indiana for the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Festival (9 hours round trip). it competed in the Dayton Concours d'Elegance (5 hour round trip). a trip to the Hoosier Auto Show in Indianapolis. Indiana (5 hours) plus many Local Club Shows and Cruise Nights. I planned on Driving it to Hershey. Pa. a few weeks ago (10 1/2 hours) to place it in the Cars For Sale area but I could not get a sales spot purchased before the deadline.

As far as I know everything operates as it should "EXCEPT for the following": Passenger door window only operates from the drivers door (most likely the button). power rear windows operate but need some help (probably stiff from lack of use). glove box light does not come on. Passenger door window guide needs adjusting - there is an air leak sometimes when the window is in the full up position. Cruise Control does not work. The Vacuum Headlight Doors work MUCH better than most Mark III's. The Vacuum Motors will bleed off through the Headlight Switch within 45 minutes. We have installed a "Bandaid" inline Vacuum switch that prevents the vacuum from leaking through the headlight switch. The headlight doors will now stay down for 3-5 days before eventually creeping open. The fix is a replacement headlight switch. They sell used for $75-$100 and NOS switches can cost $175-$225. Clock does not work. Left Hand Rear Brake Light Monitor has a broken Optic Fiber.
The Mark III is located in the Louisville. Kentucky area. email me for a specific photo request and or with any questions. Call me at: 502-228-5945 and ask for Danny

This Car is Being "Sold AS IS" with NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED

Thanks for looking! It's Big. It's Comfortable and like my Buddy says; "It's like Driving your Living Room Down the Road"
