What little boy didn't want flames on his cars? Now you can indulge your inner child with this 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car from MotoeXotica Classic Cars. complete with blue flames on the body. This car was originally assembled on December 8. 1978 in Ford's Wixom. Michigan assembly plant and delivered to the Cincinnati. Ohio area.

The previous owners replaced the windshield. had the front end aligned and all four tires balanced. The engine has been refreshed and the air-conditioning system converted to r134a refrigerant.

Dressed in white with a Diamond Blue Valino Coach half-vinyl roof. the exterior is in near-excellent condition. The blue flames are a curious twist on the otherwise elegant and upright exterior styling and sure to turn heads wherever this car goes. The new windshield looks great and the rest of this cruiser's windows are clear and intact. including the rear opera windows. The lights are in very good shape. including the coach lights on the B-pillars. the dual spotlights on the cowl. the blue fog lights under the front bumper and the headlights that are normally hidden behind body-colored panels when not in use.

This Lincoln rides on P225/75R15 tires at all four corners and its body panels are straight and solid. The engine bay is tidy. the battery looks good and the bumpers are in very good order. Nestled in that engine bay is a refreshed 400 CID Cleveland V-8 with an Edelbrock intake manifold. Ford Motorsport air cleaner and other enhancements. The engine breathes through dual aftermarket exhausts and is buttoned to a three-speed automatic transmission with a 2. 47:1 rear end.

Driver assist features include automatic climate control. power steering. power brakes. power windows. power locks. power mirrors. power antenna. power front seat. tilt steering column and cruise control.

The Wedgewood Blue front and rear seats are in very good order. The matching carpet shows wear on the driver's side consistent with the mileage but the other positions are in good order. The headliner is in almost excellent condition. The instrument panel has plenty of wood accents to break up the blue and is in good shape. Light blue fuzzy dice with stars and crescent moons on them hang from the rearview mirror. The original two-spoke steering wheel is present. complete with rim cover. The inner door panels look great and the mirror class and shifter are in good order. Completing the interior is an Alpine AM/FM stereo with CD player and a remote control in the glovebox.

For 1979. the Lincoln Continental remained in production as the final "large" American car as the Ford LTD and Mercury Marquis underwent downsizing. The 460 V8. the largest-displacement engine fitted in a production car worldwide from 1977 to 1978. was discontinued after 1978 and all 1979 full-size Lincolns came only with the 400. The Mercury-sourced dash introduced in 1978 is updated with additional simulated wood trim. On nearly all 1970-1979 Lincoln Continental Town Cars. the vinyl roof covered half the roof. aft of the B-pillar (though the fixed roof over the driver remained). To suggest a partition. a raised molding sweeping over the roof was added. featuring coach lamps.

Documentation includes the original owner's manual. build sheet and sales brochure. plus copies of maintenance and parts invoices. among other. miscellaneous items.

Competition to this Lincoln in 1979 included BMW's 733i. Buick's Electra Limited Sedan. Cadillac's Sedan DeVille. Chrysler's New Yorker. Mercury's Grand Marquis Sedan and Oldsmobile's 98 Regency Sedan.

This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis. Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows
