This is a S55 (1980) Land Cruiser BJ-41 right hand drive. It is in U. S and if you have been watching this for the last month. then now is the time to bid! Shipping can be coordinated from Richmond California.
The Cruiser is in good condition. The body has a little surface rust but no holes or anything extreme. The undercarriage shows no extreme rust either. It was registered in Chiba. which is about 1 hour east of Tokyo. and was registered and driven until the last inspection expired last month. The driver seat was replaced with a bucket and the rears replaced with a bench. I do not have the originals.
Engine runs smooth and everything is functioning from the turning signals to the A/C. There is a fuel leak where the fuel line meets the engine at about 1 drip per 20 seconds. It looked like a gasket where the line bolted in was bad. but I did not have the time to fix so I'm disclosing.
It has 17. 00km on the odometer; however it could not be verified because Japan does have the same car tracking as the U. S. However many vehicles in Japan have very low kilometers so it's not far fetched. but since I can't verify it I will leave it at that.
This Cruiser is an easy project for someone who doesn't want to pay top dollar for a restored cruiser. wants something unique. and wants to drive.
