1970 Triumph Vitesse Convertible

Here we have a lovely classic british sports car. Finished in traditional British Racing Green with a Beige soft top this little Triumph presents beautifully.

 

Subject to a thorough and proper restoration in the late 90's the car has covered little mileage since and remains in lovely order. There is a photographic and written account of the restoration and from taking the time to read this. it is clear to see that the car has been cherished. The bodywork and chassis remain completely rust free and the hood is 'as new'.

The interior of the car is also very good. in black vinyl with wood trim and a nice Mota-lita steering wheel.

Mechanically the car is very good indeed. the straight six engine runs beautifully and sounds wonderful. enhanced by a subtle sports exhaust. The car drives well and the gearbox operates without issue along with the working overdrive. Out on the open road and with the top down this is a really enjoyable little car.


The car is fitted with the very period Wolfrace 'slot-mag' alloy wheels which I think set the car off well. The bumpers and chrome brightwork are in very good condition.


There is an excellent history file which helps to show the money and time that has been spent on this car over the years along with lots of old MOT's etc etc.


In conclusion. this is a very nice example of a convertible Vitesse and is ready for a new owner to jump in and enjoy. They are easy to maintain and with a ready availability of spare parts make an interesting alternative to an MGB.
