1969 International Harvester. A True Survivor. No Air. No Power. No Cruise. No Tilt. the Full "No Package!" ( Didn't need all that stuff in 1969. Pickups were "Work" Trucks back then! ) It is 99% Original and I am the 3rd Owner. I've owned it for about 9 1/2  years or so. She had right at 70. 00 miles on 'er when I bought 'er. It just turned over 100. 00 miles over the Holidays last year. It shows 543 miles on the Odometer at the time of the photo's. Right after I bought her I installed a new radiator . I replaced all of the Belts and Hoses. ( except 1 hose and it still works fine) and installed a new Thermostat. It came new from the Dealer with a Block Heater. I put on all new brake shoes. all new wheel bearings and wheel seals. A new rear U-Joint and Input Shaft Seal on the rear end. I had the Transmission and Rear end flushed and Full Synthetic Oils installed. Later that year I installed new Heavy Duty Shocks on the front and Gabriel Air Shocks on the rear. Also. to help keep the engine from suffering from occasional Vapor Locking ( it gets hot here in Idaho in the summer! ) I installed an electric fuel pump. I removed the Gas Tank and used a 3 part cleaner. prep and liner kit to seal the tank because the rust and stuff that had formed inside the tank was plugging the fuel filter frequently. Problem solved. I only replace the fuel filter once a year now. About 2-3 years after I bought her I had a Dual Exhaust with Glass Packs installed. the Original system was slowly going away!!  After these maintenance items I just drover her. changed the oil about every 5. 00 miles. or once a year. which ever came first. and kept her tuned up.  Along the way. regular maintenance included replacing a few items.  Most has been over about the last 4-5. 00 miles.  I replaced the Alternator and Voltage Regulator. All 4 Brake Cylinders. The Brake Master Cylinder. The Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder. I put in a new Battery last Fall. The White Sidewall Tires were installed on the Chrome "Smoothies" last Spring and it comes with a complete set of the Original Factory Rims and Factory Original Hub Caps with All Season Mud and Snow tires that are 2 Winters old. I also have the Original Owners Manual and the Factory Original Oil Bath Air Cleaner that also came with the Pickup. Lastly. I have a spare set of Valve Covers that have been Sand Blasted and ready for Chroming or Painting and an Engine Fan that I was planing on Chroming some day!
This "Survivor" is in remarkable condition. but like any vehicle her age she ain't perfect. The only 2 things I can think of that don't work is the Emergency Brake and the Water Temperature Gauge. There are spots here and there where the paint has been scratched off and there is quite a bit of bare paint on the Tailgate. The 1st two original owners had a shell over the bed and Everything went in and out over the Tailgate. Conversely. the top of the Bed Rails are in good condition. 3 of the 4 dents are so small that I couldn't get them to show up in pictures. 1 dent. on the front drivers side. between the Grill and the Hood. was on the pickup when I bought it. As seen in the pictures. the seat has a tear on both the Drivers side and the Passenger side. The last "defect" I need to mention is the Windshield. It suffered a serious stone chip a few years ago. It's on the far passenger side and doesn't effect the drive-ability and hasn't leaked any since it was chipped. Replacement glass is available.
I wouldn't Hesitate to jump in her tomorrow. here in Idaho. and head for Miami. Florida. I've actually made a couple of Long Distance trips with 'er and she's been flawless every time. (BTW. the Heater works Great!)
I've tried to mention everything I think a buyer would want to know. I have Several More photo's if you are interested in seeing them let me know. I am an Over the Road Truck Driver so I don't have 24/7 access to the internet. If you ask a question thru eBay it will take a little while before I'll be able to answer. If you want a quick response to a question. call me. Idaho area code 208. Number 800-2270. Leave a Message.  Thanks for looking. I hope it's just what someone is looking for and will continue to give her the care and keeping she deserves.
