1958 RIGHT HAND DRIVE MANUAL OVERDRIVE UK CAR

THE CAR WAS RESPRAYED SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND THE ONE OWNER NEVER GOT AROUND TO THE RE-CHROMING

AND FITTING UP .    THE CAR WAS LEFT IN A DRY GARAGE .

I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM HIS WIDOW A PERSONAL FRIEND AND DECIDED TO DO A GROUND UP RESTORATION .

I BOUGHT A NEW JIG TO RESTORE THE CHASSIS . BUT LATER I WAS TEMPTED BY A NEW SUPERB STOVE ENAMELLED CHASSIS. WHICH WOULD BE A LOT EASIER.

I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 9 YEARS AND REALITY HAS STRUCK. WITH ALL THE OTHER PROJECTS I WILL NEVER GET IT DONE.

THE CAR IS FAIRLY COMPLETE APART FROM SOME SMALL ITEMS SUCH AS QUARTER-LIGHT GLASS. SOME CHROME. ADGES LIGHTS ETC. ETC.

THE INTERIOR IN MY OPINION IS VERY GOOD WITH GREAT PATINA APART FROM THE HEAD LINING WHICH IS VERY POOR .

THE FRONT OF THE CHASSIS IS VERY RUSTY  (HENCE THE NEW ONE)

THE BODY WILL NEED WORK MORE HOURS WITH THE MIG AND A SHEET OF METAL RATHER  THAN EXPENSE .

I HAVE NOT TURNED THE ENGINE SO ASSUME A RE-BUILD WILL BE NECESSARY.

V5 IN MY NAME

AS MENTIONED BEFORE THE PREVIOUS OWNER BOUGHT THE CAR FROM NEW.

TO MAKE LIFE EASIER GET A NEW ALI ROADSTER BODY SHELL FROM LEAPING CATS AND THE CAR WILL BE WORTH OVER £100. 00.

JUNCTION 11 ON THE M4.
