1995 JAGUAR XJS 4. 0 CONVERTIBLE CELEBRATION

The Celebration cars were built to celebrate 60 years of Jaguar and were amongst the last of the XJS models to be built with many improvements and extra's as standard compared with previous models.   I have a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Trace Certificate confirming that this car is an original Celebration model.

This is an original car finished in Signal Red. Cream Leather with Cherry Piping interior. Beige Hood and Chrome Diamond cut alloy wheels and is a truly stunning car.   In November 2010 this car was valued for insurance purposes by Graham Searle of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club at £19. 00 and I have the original letter.

Full Celebration specification includes:  Galvanised body shell. 4. 0 Litre AJ16 engine. ZF automatic gearbox with switchable sport mode. ABS. cruise control. electric windows. electric hood with glass heated rear window. electric heated and adjustable seats. air conditioning. four speaker stereo with boot mounted 6 CD player. full size alloy spare wheel. chrome electric mirrors. driver/passenger airbags. embossed Jaguar motif in the leather seats. chrome headlight surrounds. wood gear selector. electric aerial. twin coach lines and black grille.   

In addition this car was ordered with all the available optional extras at the time which include:  Beige hood. cream leather with cherry piping. chrome alloy wheels. headlamp power washers. front fog lamps with growler covers. power heated and memory seats and trip computer.  There is also a wind deflector supplied by a third party and rear colour coded parking sensors have been fitted. these are a real bonus with such a long car.

There is a full handbook pack. two keys and remote fobs. leather hood cover. original Jaguar tool box and lots of history.   Also included in the sale is an additional brand new and unused chrome alloy wheel and a used Jaguar indoor dust cover.   

Servicing: Current mileage is 94. 00 and the car has a full service history by both Jaguar (5). Jaguar Specialists (4) and one by myself at the following mileage intervals:

 10. 24 - 20. 86 - 30. 61 - 39. 93 - 47. 75 - 55. 49 - 60. 46 - 77. 45 - 83. 23 - 93. 61

I also have a lot of history including 12 old MOT's and receipts for worked carried out. including £4. 00 plus on new dampers. springs etc. in 2009.   Also in 2009 the underside of the car was professionally treated with Waxoyl by rustmaster of Hatfield.   This car has been featured in both Jaguar Monthly and Jaguar XJS Restoration & Maintenance (as a quality example. not a project !) of which I have both copies.

Bad bits:

·        The original 6 CD player has just stopped working and will require investigation if the new owner wishes to use it.  

·        Minor cracking to the leather on the door side of the driver's seat.   I have not bothered to have this fixed as it is not that bad but could easily be restored if so desired. (see photo)

I have owned this lovely car for the last 16 months and it has run faultlessly over that time. including a recent trip to Belgium. I am only selling it because I am looking for something smaller.

In summary this is a rare chance to buy a classic Jaguar and comes with MOT until mid August 2014 and Road Tax until the end of August 2014.
