Jaguar E Type Series 1 2+2 Coupe 4. 2 Automatic Restoration Project - RHD

An increasingly rare opportunity to purchase a stunning iconic 1966 Jaguar E Type 2+2 4. 2 Auto that requires full restoration. This is a series one on D registration.  I have the full V5 document (in my name) and a Jaguar Heritage certificate. The car has its body number stamp to prove its identity.  

The V5 states that the car has had only 1 previous owner prior to my purchase and is a British car. never exported.  It has been dry stored since 1991. The original colour is Carmen Red.

The shell is solid with no holes except some corrosion on the rear arches as pictured. The outer sills have both been replaced at some point since its storage. All of the body panels are present including bonnet.  The bonnet as pictured is solid with some surface rust and a couple of knocks. Also included with the bonnet are the front lights. glass headlamp covers & chrome surrounds. radiator stone guard and hinges. The vast majority of the chromework is present and has just suffered surface rust. This will clean up and re-chrome nicely.  

I don't have the engine & gearbox. front suspension and rear diff & shafts but I have 2 contacts with all of the correct parts available for the year at a very reasonable price - Details of which I can pass onto the buyer.

The parts package included in the sale includes front and rear hubs. rear brake calipers. handbrake calipers. rev counter. prop shaft. brake pedal assembly. 1 x original wheel. original centre spinners x 4. rear seat. spare wheel cover. header tank. radiator + fan motor. driveshafts. stub axles. torsion bars. lucas rear view mirror. dipstick. timing chain assembly. reaction plate. centre console and various other parts. The fuel tank and pump are still in the car and will be included in the sale.  All the E-type parts seen in the pictures are included in the sale plus the items listed above and some additional bits (I am restricted to 12 pictures so some parts are not shown but will be included). I can send additional detailed pictures of selected areas or parts on request.
