Daimler 2.5 V8 automatic 1967 Blue

Mine since January 2002 adding 691 miles in that time. lots of money spent but never seem to find time to finish it.

MOT and road tax until September 2014. Mileage believed to be genuine. V5 in my name.

Comes with original bill of sale from Torquay Motors Ltd. some old MOT certificates and some early history.

Receipt for engine rebuild in 1978 with new pistons. bearings. timing chain with rebore. crank regrind & heads refaced.

Had a lower body overhaul in 1993 inc sills. jacking points. lower wings. narrow rear spats & door repair panels.  Stainless steel exhaust fitted.

The following has been done on my ownership;

Distributor reconditioned and converted to electronic ignition. distributor cap. genuine Lucas rotor arm. spark plugs. ignition leads & extensions. coil. engine mountings. carburettors overhauled. air filter. fuel filter. converted to negative earth.

Brake fluid reservoir. cap & hose. handbrake cables & fork. front & rear discs. front & rear pads. span >  h/brake pads. all calipers overhauled  with new seals. s/steel brake hoses.

Auto gearbox reconditioned. propshaft centre mounting. rear axle outer oil seal.

Front suspension bushes & mountings. span >  front & rear shock absorbers. right steering tie rod end. left hand upper spring clamp. 4 x Vredestein tyres.

Radiator reconditioned. rad cap. kevlar hoses.

Brake light switch. windscreen wiper motor. indscreen washer switch.  gearbox inhibitor switch.

Clip set for body mouldings. windscreen seal. heater matrix. heater valve. heater cable. wiper arms & blades.

Resprayed in 2006. all the chrome trim is included with a new set of fitting clips.

The body and chassis are very good. a few minor marks on the new paintwork. the underneath sprayed with schutz underseal. The chrome trims. bumpers. etc would benefit from being re-chromed. The interior is well worn. could do with being re-done. I can't find the driver's door inner trim. it was very scruffy. I have a good set of door trims and B-post trims in a darker blue which are available to buy separately if wanted. Toolkit included.

Although the car starts first time it hasn't had much use in a few years. the distributor was fitted and adjusted by listening and it could probably do with a tune so I would recommend collection on a trailer. The fan viscous coupling isn't working. I was going to fit an electric fan but haven't got round to it.
