1971 Westfalia Bay Window Campervan

Up for sale is a very solid 1971 Westfalia Bay window Campervan.   We imported her from Arizona at the end of 2011.   She was built in 1970 but is a 1971 model. meaning she has disc brakes. brake servo.   The last year of early bay. She is very solid and very sunbunrt in places.   Prior to leaving the USA someone has sprayed rattle cans in a very simular red over her in places to I assume "tidy her up".   We have welded in a new battery tray.   This was the only welding needed and she does not require anything else.   Fully stone-chipped underneath.   Lowered using Creative engineering adjusters on the front and 1 spline on the rear.

She has a new 1641cc engine that we fitted a couple of months ago.   Its currently done about 1000 miles and had relevant oil change. She has new heat exchangers and exhaust. Carb looks new. 009 Dizzy. Bosch Blue coil. New voltage regulator. New fuel pump

Since we've had her we have fitted new RHD halogen headlights. new rear UK spec tail lights. New window and door rubbers.

Other new bits include.

Brand new battery. new KYB shocks. New brake flexi lines. New Ball Joints. New steering arms. New cab seat belts. 5x SSP Fook alloy wheels with dunlop tyres (185/60/15).   New brake pads. calipers and discs. New steering damper.

Interior

We have fully retrimmed her interior. New covers on the cab seats. retrimmed rock n roll and buddy seat in original colour mustard vinyl  She has new curtains throughout (on tracks in the rear and poppers in the cab. cab curtains come in a purpose made storage bag to keep clean).   New flooring. new roof bunk and cab child bunk canvas.   New pop top canvas.

She is lovely to drive and a real head turner.   Perfect as a rat or a great basis for someone that wants to make a really mint van.
